Well done. This restaurant has now nice and very good service. My impression is better and better... the food is incredible, nice french one :) coq au vin, soups, or nice french dessers... I have to admit, that if you want nice date or romantic dinner... go in!

We have been here many times in the past so I was happy to go again on my birthday night, a celebratory meal with my mum who was in the country for my special day. We booked a specific table in the corner, our usual table #12, but called ahead to say we'd be ten minutes late. They gave the... More

I have been there more than ten times in last 3 years. Good offer, tasty food and if you talk to the staff, they are very pleasant and make the spirit of the place.

Nice enough restaurant but not special. However, the creme brûlée was lovely. The salad portion size was, as already mentioned by others, huge and the sesame chicken and corn salad a nice combination. Good value for money.

The salmon is great. The tuna was slightly overcooked but still good. Mixed salad (starter) is huge !!! Highly recommended !

Came back to Universal after many years, used to visit this restaurant quite often in the past when I had the chance. And I am so glad that this restaurants keeps up with the good quality, the simple french flair, excellent mussels, and cosy ambience. Just a bit improved could be the service, all in all, prices are not the... More

We stumbled across this excellent restaurant down a side street and were glad we stepped inside. It has a French-feel with an international menu (I had an excellent pork chop with a balsamic and dijon sauce and my wife had spaghetti with prawns and peppers). Both meals were cooked perfectly and the price was excellent value.

Staying in Nove Mesto (New Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred meters long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theaters. National Theater near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.
