Excellent vegetarian food in Prag

The service was excellent, fast and friendly. My main dish (Bulgur rizoto) was nicely presented and very tasty, especially the pesto topping was wonderfull. My starter, soup of the dat: Roasted pepper soup with almonds and cashew, was also very tasty but it was not quite hot. The restaurant is... read more

We had dinner here recently and it was one of the best vegetarian restaurants we have ever been to. The restaurant is very beautiful and cosy and it is located in the city centre. The food is amazing. You really have to try it.

We were seated in room sprinkled with little LED "stars". The atmosphere was lively, but not loud or distracting. The waiter was very kind and took his time to explain the various dishes. The home-made lemonade (we had ginger and cucumber) was a great start, followed by a mixed plate of spreads accompanied by excellent bread. And we also all... More

Our son-in-law is vegetarian and is in Prague. We wanted to entertain him. Again, our hostess in Prague suggested Lehka Hlva. Lucky for us that she offered to make a reservation. We wanted to go at 6:30 but nothing was available. We had a table for 3 at 6:00 PM. I was told that be it Monday or Sunday make... More

FANTASTIC, you have to make reservations if more then 2, but if you come there as couple then within 10 minutes you can have lunch. The food was amazing! Best vegetarian restaurant in Prague. Creative, lot's of authentic uses of products. It's like having too many good options to choose from. The didgeridoo inspired decor gives you a real experimental... More

Such a beautiful place, really unique atmosphere. There was a big variety of veggie food and explanation about what everything is, it was hard to choose! Everything we had there was so good and we would definitely go back next time.

Lehka Hlava has all the hallmarks of a hippy style restaurant in the pot smoking part of town - didgeridoo inspired decor, wooden floorboards that bounce up and down every time a waitress (and they were all young "ess'") hovered past and very poor lighting AND good food at an excellent price. A 2 course meal for 2 with drinks... More

Innovative menu, excellent value for money, quick service. Portions could v'e been bigger but it wasn't so expensive. The decor is pretty, the waiting staff kind. We shared lentil soup with coconut and tortilla chips with yogurt and mint and cucumber, then bulgur risotto with tempah, and goat's cheese with potatoes. There were plenty of other dishes on the menu... More

I was a bit skeptical about this place when I first arrived. We ordered the cucumber spaghetti and the Thai red curry. It was some of the best vegetarian food that we have ever had. We would love to return and try more next time we are in Prague. Worth checking out and trying. We also enjoyed the cactus beer.

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighborhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
