Lovely place to chill out

Went in for a Drink prior to dinner - the staff were helpful - the seating was comfortable on large laid back seating and the drinks were first class - while I did not eat in the place the menus was extensive and it did look good - I want to go back to eat !

This used to be since place. But now the portions are small. The quality of the food is very mediocre. You are only paying for the atmosphere. We struggled all evening to get the attention of the waiters. It was very annoying. Shame to see this place go downhill.

A set three course meal plus bread butter & relish & coffee all for £10 in the heart of Prague. The starters either soup of the day or the most exquisite chicken spring roll served with parsley and dips beautifully presented with smile and tentativeness The main course I chose penne with beef ragone or you can have salmon. The... More

I'm glad I remembered to write about this. About 8 of us decided to come here for the New Year. We paid about 20 euros per person in advance, and were told that this will be used to pay our bills when we want to pay. Staff (excluding the DJ, pardon me) was extremely arrogant. They were rushing us to... More

My husband and I enjoyed lunch here for my birthday. It was beautiful and the service was good and the staff friendly. We had a selection of tapas which were very tasting and well presented. We also had a soup each which was hot, but not overly - perfect temperature (can't stand cold soup at least that is, soup that... More

When I was unable to check into my hotel in Prague 2 yesterday, I decided to have a meal somewhere. I used tripadvisor and found a couple of nice places not so far away. A sightsee and some food were the plan. After checking several places out, I decided on Sahara Cafe. It looked lovely, had a nice menu and... More

Prague is one of those places that is constantly throwing up new surprises when it comes to food, with the number of good quality restaurants that appear all over the city. When it comes to Middle Eastern food, Sahara is the only spot you need to think of. Read my full review: http://www.unexpectedtraveller.com/Blog/sahara/

Neighborhood Profile
Vinohrady & Vrsovice
Compared to the medieval heart of Prague, this neighborhood standing on former vineyards developed very quickly in the first decades of the 19th century. Today, it is the place where everyone wants to live, and those who do, are proud of it. With its amazing parks, classicist houses, terrace cafés, artsy bars, cozy restaurants, markets, and vintage and trendy shops, it is a home for people from all around the world. This area blends expats, families, bohemian students and Prague’s hip community. It is a great place for breakfast in the morning, the best lunch places and a buzzing night life. After sundown, stroll down to Vršovice, the new center of the hipster, alternative and gay scenes in Prague.
