Description: Cicala Trattoria - Back in 1997 a unique opportunity started to present itself in the centre of Prague - an opportunity to taste the real Italian cuisine flourishing under the baton of the culinary maestro Aldo Cicala. Today it has already been fifteen years since the restaurant opened for the first time and over these years it has won renown for its cosy family atmosphere, received numerous prestigious awards and welcomed many famous personalities. The restaurant owes its success first and foremost to its rich homemade Italian cuisine served with great attention to detail under the supervision of the talented chef David Cicala and to its emphasis on the quality of traditional ingredients. The restaurant also earned its high reputation thanks to the always friendly and accommodating staff who are also members of the Cicala family and create a genuine family atmosphere.

Like other reviewers we found this restaurant on trip advisor and would have missed it otherwise. We had a sharing starter, two main meals and 4 beers for around £15 and the food was lovely. The restaurant is downstairs in a cellar and had a really nice feel about it. I can definitely recommend it. Make sure you look at... More

Stumbled across this charming little restaurant during our stay in Prague, I had read a few good reviews before entering, and they werent wrong. Sure the entrance is a little "different", you are greeted by a kind of cafe entrance and as previous reviews have mentioned by a charming elderly italian man watching TV. but persevere and venture down stairs... We hadn't noticed the restaurant across from our hotel but found it on tripadvisor. Really nice place in a basement. Authentic Italian food and friendly service. The pasta was superb. The wall of fame has pictures of (Ametican) movie stars visiting the restaurant such as Sean Connery, Morgan Freeman, Mat Damon, Owen Wilson, ... Impressive. They have good taste in... More

We found this restaurant on Trip Advisor, conveniently located next to our hotel. First impressions are not good as there is only a small shop front which we walked straight past – it was only the Trip Advisor window sticker that helped us locate the restaurant. Once inside you go to a large basement, traditionally furnished. As we ate early... More

This place has existed in Prague for many years, yet for me unnoticed. I learned about this from one of my students. Talking about his favourite restaurants, he named some really expensive places. And then he gave me this secret tip. He said "You know first it looks like some sort of cheap shop with café, but go downstairs!" So... More

From the outside, this restaurant doesn't look much, but inside, the food and service were superb. I visited with 7 friends. We chose to follow the recommendation of the owner and have a meal for eight. A great selection of starters, pasta and meat courses followed, finishing of with tiramisu or cheesecake and coffee. Really liked this place.

Went here in a party of 6 on a Friday night. Really lovely Italian restaurant. The staff were incredibly helpful and explained the menu in detail. We went for the house wine which was great value. The selection of starters was very comprehensive and the main courses were superb (no pizza). Good value for money also. Highly recommended.

As usual, Tratoria Cicala didn't disappoint. The food and service were amazing, the atmosphere cheerful. The location is in proximity of IP Pavlova or Museum, very central and the price per person, tips included was around 500kc or about 20 eur. I highly recommend the place.

The store has a nice sphere hanging around it. You enter the restaurant on top floor where a friendly owner points you the way to the basement. The man is a real Italian and speaks proper English The lady doesn't but they work together to serve you well. Very good food all home made we ordered for 3 persons and... More
