Great atmosphere!

Great place! Traditional Czech cuisine, monstrous size dishes, fantastic beer, especially "cut" one (mix of dark and light), home cheese plate and mix of grilled sausages were above all praise. And very, very inexpensive.

A fantastic beer house restaurant, with delicious beer accompanying meat dishes, mostly typical czech recipes. It's a huge restaurant, with 2 floors, (ground and underground levels) and seperate space for smokers. English speaking waiters and menu, serving very fast. All Kolkovna restaurants are sponsored by Pilsner Urquell, so there is no doubt that you will drink great beer. If you... More

The best thing about this place is the draft Pilsner Urquell. The downstairs cellar area was closed during our visit so everybody was shoehorned in upstairs. That meant there was a pretty blurred distinction between the smoking and non smoking areas which was at times unpleasant. The service was indifferent and the food was no better than average (despite their... More

Was taken to this restaurant by a colleague. Very nice casual atmosphere, good local food and beer. Roughly 35 euros for a diner wigh a starter, main and some beers for the two of us (17 pp).

Kolkovna was an amazing experience which started off with this bubbly n sunny hostess who helped us with our meal. The lamb shank and the goulash were excellent and there was an adequate and delicious selection of vegetarian dishes too. With its lively pub/cafe ambience, we visited Kolkovna twice in our short 4 day stay in Prague.

This typical Czech Pub with original Pilsner beer. Beer was good, delivery time was excellent. We chose several starters and we were satisfied - cheese, sausages, salmon tartar.. Main dish were in line with Czech typical cousine - we took lamb, beef steakes, goulash. I can recommend it. Very nice evening spent there. I think tourists from all the world... More

Kolkovna in Celnice is a great casual place to go for traditional Czech cuisine. It is not that packed with tourists compared to other traditional places, though sometimes very busy, so for Fridays and Saturdays it is better to make a reservation. We have been to Kolkovna many times and we were never disappointed!

Was looking for a restaurant and entered here because it was Monday in low season, so a lot of restaurants were closing and it was a lot of people inside. It wasn't horrible, but nothing spectacular neither. The pork was chewy and had lots of fat, but it was well cooked. The beer was great, but it's great in the... More
