Good Czech food, beer and drinks. I tried various food all was ok or delicious - especiially suggest to try "koleno" and "tartar". Pilsner Urqwell tastes always the best in Czech.

The food and beer are good local fare. The menu focuses on grilled meats and Czech traditional dishes. We enjoyed the duck leg and the pork knee, although the portions are ridiculously large especially in light of the prices. The turkey schnitzel was also flavorful.

The prices are very reasonable and they serve until 11pm. The service was attentive even when it was packed. We've ate there twice for dinner and it was good quality both times. The roast vegetables are a good side dish though they might not be vegetarian. The Czech soup is almost a meal in itself. My girlfriend had that both... More

We visited this restaurant on four occasions whilst in Prague. Once for an evening meal and three times with friends for drinks, etc. The beer is superb and the snacks for beer served with it was superb. The evening was also very good. The various bread dumplings with Goulash are a MUST. So tasty! The waiters are all very friendly,... More

Busy, bustling place with friendly staff, great food at an affordable price, and lots of beer, all served in a somewhat loud but fun atmosphere. Within a short distance from the Marriott, and recommended by the concierge at the hotel. The first table they gave us was in a heavy traffic area, and they cheerfully recommended a better table when... More

This place is all about beer and traditional Czech food - although very busy and in incredibly hot weather the staff looked after us well and even managed a little bit of banter - good food and good prices washed down with cool beer - there's nothing not to like about this place.

i went twice during my visit in Prague. I'm not a fan of the czech cuisine so first I ordered a chicken fillet filled with cottage cheese which I utterly enjoyed (although it took quite a long time to arrive cuz apparently it was not a popular dish) and the second time I ordered a berry and grilled cheese salad... First night in Prague so we stayed in the area near our hotel and enjoyed a good meal here. Two large beers, two entrees and tip came to under $20 U.S. Beer was great and ice cold. Goulash was delicious and my wife's cream gravy topped meat was outstanding. Service was punctual and very helpful, which was appreciated by both... More

This restaurant was recommended by our river cruise & a local merchant. We ate outside & enjoyed the atmosphere. I ordered goulash that was very fatty. It came with extremely bland dumplings. My husband ordered pork that was somewhat better but was swimming in gravy & was very salty. The cabbage was extremely sugary. The apple strudel & ice cream... More

Staying in Nove Mesto (New Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred meters long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theaters. National Theater near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.
