Yes, you can find wonderful Mexican food in Europe

My favorite ethnic food is Mexican, but it is nearly impossible to find truly good Mexican (Tex-Mex) food outside of the U.S. Cantina's got it down! I've eaten here often over a several year period and the quality is always top-notch, food is fresh, perfectly prepared, with good service. Cantina... read more

I went to Prague for the first time with my family and I love Mexican food and apparently this one had pretty good reviews so we went to Cantina. The best thing were the fajitas. Everything else was okay. The place was very nice, and everything was great, with it decorated with ponchos and stuff like that, but the food... More

We went here for my husband's birthday and it was great. Freshly made, lots of flavour and generous fajitas with all the trimmings. The staff are really nice and genuinely hospitable but bookings are essential! However, it is full of tourists so not much of a Czech experience-but that's true of a lot of places in Prague and definitely doesn't... More

We love Mexican food and tried to get a table at the Cantina, but could not since it was full. On our second try we succeeded. We got a Strawberry Margaritta and a Pilsner, The beef Fajita which was very good, a ranchero burrito and an avocado salad. They have cholula sauce on the table which we love. It was... More

Ate here twice with my husband(who is a coeliac) while in Prague, only wish there was one in Ireland!!!!Delicious Mexican food, the fajitas were delicious as were the cheese nacho starter. Great value for money and a must if in Prague. Great buzz/atmosphere in the restaurant.

In Prague with family for my daughter's 21st. Stumbled across this place on TA. Thank goodness booked a table as very busy on a Wednesday night. The food and service was excellent, standard of food was top notch and really tasty. Would definitely recommend and would visit again if in Prague.

First of all, the biggest problem of this restaurant, a RESERVATION IS MANDATORY. Otherwise is close to impossible get a table during the weekend. Sometimes the reservation shall be done even one day in advance. Then, the food, is excellent. big quantity (my girlfriend and me usually have one starter and one dish of fajitas to share), the guacamole is... More

Lovely mexican restaurant. Great food and cocktails. It gets very busy so best book in advance. We could only book for the bar but got a table when we arrived.

We wandered into Cantina without knowing anything about this restaurant and were blown away by the quality (and the quantity) of the food. This was definitely one of the best Mexican meals we've ever had. My shrimp burrito was to die for. The place seems very popular so a reservation might not be a bad idea.

Staying in Mala Strana (Little Quarter)

Neighborhood Profile
Mala Strana (Little Quarter)
Malá Strana is one of the oldest and the most beautiful neighborhoods in the city. Nestled underneath Prague Castle it was once a part of the Kings route taken by future kings on their way to coronation - originating in the Old Town, crossing Charles Bridge and leading to Saint Vitus Cathedral. Cobblestone streets are lined with picturesque medieval houses, remarkable palaces, churches, kitsch shops and restaurants. Do not hesitate to turn a corner into any narrow street. You will suddenly find yourself in a calm and charming neighborhood full of hidden gardens, parks with peacocks, fruit trees and ponds. As the neighborhood is a home to Czech Parliament and many ministries, you can also run into well-dressed officials. If you are thirsty or hungry, it is the right place to be. Restaurants offer delicious traditional food and of course, the best Czech beers.
