Taste of Mexico in Prague

If you are craving Mexican food in Prague, I suggest this restaurant. Not everything seemed quite authentic, I'm pretty sure the beans were not pinto beans and the cheese wasn't queso. It didn't matter, the fajitas were great and service is efficient. Cute atmosphere. We tried two other Mexican... read more

This restuarant was close to our hotel and we were tired from walking. We also live in a place where hispanic, mexican, tex-mex whatever you want to call it, food is limited and expensive so we thought why not. The food and service here were great. They were fast and nice. We didn't have a reservation but got in ok.... More

This place was a perfect last minute place to duck into to eat. The wait staff was friendly and efficient. The Margueritas hit the spot. We ate there twice and were completely satisfied each time!

Restaurant smelled as heaven from the street, but all the tables inside were booked. We tool the table on the street, even though it was cold outside. Service was fast, we had one burrito and one enchilladas with chicken. Burrito was very good, but I would not recommend anyone to eat enchilladas.... it was tasteless, basically some kind of boiled... More

We went to Cantina twice during our stay in Prague, and had some great food. They have a nice assortment of items on their menu, and everything we had was great. The Enchiladas were good, but could've been a little spicier is all. Service was good and fast!

Catania was right next to our hotel so every time we ventured out we smelt the food as we walked past and it smelt delicious!! We both spent a while looking at all the choices on the menu and finally decided on a cheesy nachos for a starter. Then for main courses I had a spicy Turkey Burrito with Spanish... More

Came without a reservation on Saturday evening and table for two was arranged quickly. Lime Margarita was a bit watery but otherwise quite nice. Service was really fast and the food was above average Mexican style like we expected. Unfortunately we did not have time to taste the desserts. Really nice experience and highly recommended. Mostly because of the friendly... More

We walked in off the street for lunch and got a table next to the window. The server was friendly and spoke English. There was also air conditioning on a hot day. I ordered the Caesar salad with no anchovies and it was ok. The other orders were- Chicken quesadilla with spinach Fajitas with chicken and beef Burrito ranchero Everyone... More

Staying in Mala Strana (Little Quarter)

Neighborhood Profile
Mala Strana (Little Quarter)
Malá Strana is one of the oldest and the most beautiful neighborhoods in the city. Nestled underneath Prague Castle it was once a part of the Kings route taken by future kings on their way to coronation - originating in the Old Town, crossing Charles Bridge and leading to Saint Vitus Cathedral. Cobblestone streets are lined with picturesque medieval houses, remarkable palaces, churches, kitsch shops and restaurants. Do not hesitate to turn a corner into any narrow street. You will suddenly find yourself in a calm and charming neighborhood full of hidden gardens, parks with peacocks, fruit trees and ponds. As the neighborhood is a home to Czech Parliament and many ministries, you can also run into well-dressed officials. If you are thirsty or hungry, it is the right place to be. Restaurants offer delicious traditional food and of course, the best Czech beers.
