Wake up, this is 2014! Vegetables are part of a meal. Unless you're a stoneage person, you need more than meat and dumplings to fulfill your needs for a satisfying restaurant meal. I've experienced similar in other (former) eastern european countries when it comes to traditional cuisine. It's heavy on the meat side, and unless you actually discovers that vegetables... More

There are many good reviews but the food was very poor. The duck was dry and tasteless, the hare was also tasteless. My garlic potatoes were crudely over flavoured with chunks of raw garlic The atmosphere and decor are interesting but do not make up for the poor quality.

We had dinner in this place on more than one occasion, because we are returning to Prague couple of times a year these days. I love this place for its atmosphere, old world ambience and beautifully served delicious food. There are two levels and I prefer the upstairs, it is truly beautiful, romantic and cozy. We always order the duck,(kachnicka-means... More

I re-visited this lovely restaurant with trepidation. I need not have worried that the return would not live up to the first visit. We were greeted by a familiar face and had exemplary service. this was topped off by great food and entertainment from the pianist. This is a must for anybody who wants to experience delicious, Czech food with... More

Relative to the value for money at many "fancy" restaurants in the UK and even many places in the States, this restaurant was a bargain. While the meal may be on the middle/higher end of dining costs in Prague, the food and the service were exceptional. I recommend the Chef's Degustation menu, but be prepared for a 5 course meal.

One of the best meals in this holiday. Very cozy pace, fantastic service and very nice food and wines. We'll be back.

Old world ambience with new world service, this quaint spot serves delicious duck entrees. With a little help, the wooden decoys on the tables can even cruise by! I consider this a must for any Prague visitor.

Dining here was one of the highlights of my visit to Prague. The décor was comfortable, interesting and inviting. The staff was attentive and oh so polite. What to say about the food? It was simply one of the best meals I have ever had at any restaurant. I hate roast duck with creamed brussel sprouts and garlic potato pancakes.... More

Great food. Duck is the specialty. I had a roasted one with honey sauce and as starter another duck with caramelized onion. The dessert was unforgettable! A perfect raspberry and mascarpone combination.

We had dinner on our last night and loved it all Food was delicious and the ambiance was wonderful. Sat in the room with the piano player and it was great. Restaurant looks closed from the street so don't be fooled
