A great dinning experience all around, the food, the setting, the piano player, the staff. Can't say enough positive things. 3 of us had the deer, which was wonderful and one had the duck which was great. I would say yes, yes yes to this place

Can't recommend the smoked duck or game paté enough. Great interior decor and great service. Nice local 'prosecco', would definitely return.

It's a quiet, romantic setting. It's very authentically decorated Czech/Bohemian inside. Very unique. I would highly recommend reservations. I saw them turn away many walk ins. Their specialty is duck. Menu also has a lot of wild game type food. Our food was perfect start to finish. Wine was delicious. Server was a delight.

This restaurant was recommended to us for an authentic lunch and pleasant experience. Not only was the lunch authentic it was absolutely delicious and a true representation of Czech food. It was off the touristy streets and was tucked away so that you left the hustle and bustle and were able to have a quieter atmosphere. The waiter was patient... More

This is an experience. The restaurant is over-the-top decorated, almost like a boudoir or a museum and is very cosy. The live piano music contributes to the atmosfere. Real tsjechian dishes are offered which gives you the opportunity to meet the Tjechian cuisine, which is not very sophisticated but absolutely good tasting and worthwile. Drink the local wines with your... More

We went there on our last night in Prague. We've found it online, it was listed as one of ten best places to eat in the city and it was true. The food was delicious, every course. The complimentary bread was a great treat. Four different types of bread and two of butter. One of best I've ever eaten. The... More

We went to this place because of the great reviews on TripAdvisor and the recommendation of the hotel we were staying. In hindsight we should have trusted the Yelp rating more (2.5 stars)!! - Minus one star for ambiance. We had to whisper because it was so quiet and fussy inside. Not a great dining experience. - Minus one star... More

A great little restaurant. Very homey atmosphere, great service. We had asked our concierge about "traditional czeck" food and he recommended this restaurant - and we couldn't have been happier. There was a group of us and we sampled almost everything on the menu - duck, wild boar, venison, etc. All was

Staying in Mala Strana (Little Quarter)

Neighborhood Profile
Mala Strana (Little Quarter)
Malá Strana is one of the oldest and the most beautiful neighborhoods in the city. Nestled underneath Prague Castle it was once a part of the Kings route taken by future kings on their way to coronation - originating in the Old Town, crossing Charles Bridge and leading to Saint Vitus Cathedral. Cobblestone streets are lined with picturesque medieval houses, remarkable palaces, churches, kitsch shops and restaurants. Do not hesitate to turn a corner into any narrow street. You will suddenly find yourself in a calm and charming neighborhood full of hidden gardens, parks with peacocks, fruit trees and ponds. As the neighborhood is a home to Czech Parliament and many ministries, you can also run into well-dressed officials. If you are thirsty or hungry, it is the right place to be. Restaurants offer delicious traditional food and of course, the best Czech beers.
