A beautiful experienve

An exquisite journey back into old Prague. Duck and Game dishes to die for. Maybe not quite so appealing for vegetarians. As expected the quality of service was exceptional. The final bill was quite modest (by UK standards at least)

What an atmospheric restaurant! The building is several hundred years old and the interior is filled with artefacts. The decor is rich and inviting. There was a pianist playing. The food was of excellent quality and had a 'home cooked' taste to it. The service was top class. The electrical wiring/equipment was obviously temperamental and the lights went out periodically... We were recommended this by the hotel concierge and it proved to be an excellent choice. Very unusual and interesting decor and a lovely menu (as long as you like meat). There was several rooms and only a couple of tables in ours, so it was almost like private dining plus we had a large table for 4 which made... More

Amazing food. Amazing service. Amazing setting. This place is absolutely stunning. It is everything a restaurant should be. The server (and perhaps owner) was attentive funny and charming and seemed to be able to gauge the tables and treat them accordingly. Had a laugh and joke with me and my girlfriend and very professional for the large group of boring... More

Feels like a time travel when entering this restaurant. And what a great food-trip. If you enjoy great food and wine - this is a place that you need to spend for at least one dinner.

Th ehotel recommended this restaurant for good a good taste of local food. And indeed it was great. We took the "old Bohemian baking pan" dish which included a variety of meat options and it was delicious.

In the ocean of people in Old Town, go a couple of blocks away to a quiet street and this delightful restaurant. Top notch service from very polite and attentive waiters. Roasted duck w pears was the best I have ever had! My husband had the flank steak. Both meats so tender we did not need steak knives. A pianist... More

The restaurant has an incredible decor with beautiful antiques arranged in small rooms with a lovely atmosphere of a stage set. The waitress helped us and guided us to wonderful red wine with an equally lovely low price. The food was marvelous. There was a pianist on the first floor which lent to the atmosphere. It was across the street... More

Staying in Mala Strana (Little Quarter)

Neighborhood Profile
Mala Strana (Little Quarter)
Malá Strana is one of the oldest and the most beautiful neighborhoods in the city. Nestled underneath Prague Castle it was once a part of the Kings route taken by future kings on their way to coronation - originating in the Old Town, crossing Charles Bridge and leading to Saint Vitus Cathedral. Cobblestone streets are lined with picturesque medieval houses, remarkable palaces, churches, kitsch shops and restaurants. Do not hesitate to turn a corner into any narrow street. You will suddenly find yourself in a calm and charming neighborhood full of hidden gardens, parks with peacocks, fruit trees and ponds. As the neighborhood is a home to Czech Parliament and many ministries, you can also run into well-dressed officials. If you are thirsty or hungry, it is the right place to be. Restaurants offer delicious traditional food and of course, the best Czech beers.
