Pros, quaint setting, feels like you're in an old aunts living room, nice atmosphere with keyboard music playing, intimate setting Cons, the food! Presentation was nice but food lacked flavor and was not well cooked. On the pricey side, service OK but not great. Overall I wouldn't visit again, if your considering this restaurant I suggest you look at Q15... More

There are two restaurants of this name in Prague, we were at the one in Lesser Town by the Mandarin Hotel. Our starters were finely sliced, tender and tasty, one was duck breast and the other a dried sliced tenderloin of deer served with a horseradish cream. Both served slightly warm with a delicate little frise arrangement. Had the meal... More

Top-notch menu with excellent service and a great fine European restaurant feel without the Michelin-class prices!! Their menu is quite varied, but their specialty is duck and venison (in season). I had the wild boar ragu which had a phenomenal rich sauce; I was so disappointed when my plate was empty!! Be sure to call or stop in for reservations... More

I visited this restaurant twice in two days during my very recent visit to Pragie. My impression of the first visit is that the R Stuart has a great kitchen and less than satisfactory services. I had the smoked duck as a starter and the fallow deer as a main course. Both were really great; five start kitchen. I've been... More

When you first step into this beautiful restaurant, you know you have found a great place to spend some time. We had reservations and were seated at a tiny window in the front. An excellent piano player serenaded all of us during the entire evening. He must have guessed - Americans - and gave us several Sinatra tunes!! The server... More

We ate at this restaurant with our tour group, so I'm not sure of the prices or how extensive the menu choices are, but the meal we had was superb. The wine also was first class with some very good local examples. The restaurant itself is an eclectic mix of furniture and decoration, the staff were friendly and helpful and... More

Four of us ate here for evening meal. The name of the restaurant translates to "The Blue Duckling". The ambience is fabulous. Dinning is on two floors. The décor is Victoriana, with very comfortable seating. Each table is candle lit. A pianist plays on two pianos, alternating between the ground and first floor areas. We had an exceptional meal. One... More

While my wife and I were in the Czech Republic we ate here twice. The pheasant was outstanding, the wine selection is fantastic, and the service is superb. However, the must eat item here is the duck They are known for their duck, and the smoked duck is one of the best things that I have ever eaten. I highly... More

Staying in Mala Strana (Little Quarter)

Neighborhood Profile
Mala Strana (Little Quarter)
Malá Strana is one of the oldest and the most beautiful neighborhoods in the city. Nestled underneath Prague Castle it was once a part of the Kings route taken by future kings on their way to coronation - originating in the Old Town, crossing Charles Bridge and leading to Saint Vitus Cathedral. Cobblestone streets are lined with picturesque medieval houses, remarkable palaces, churches, kitsch shops and restaurants. Do not hesitate to turn a corner into any narrow street. You will suddenly find yourself in a calm and charming neighborhood full of hidden gardens, parks with peacocks, fruit trees and ponds. As the neighborhood is a home to Czech Parliament and many ministries, you can also run into well-dressed officials. If you are thirsty or hungry, it is the right place to be. Restaurants offer delicious traditional food and of course, the best Czech beers.
