I have been in Kogo restaurant recently and I had a really nice time there with my boyfriend. The place is nice, servis was really good and the wine was delicious. I was bit disappointed with the meals I chose. As a starter I had a selection of greatest italian cheeses and salami. I love cheese... read more

Fantastic choice, specially for a nice romantic dinner. Would be great for a business meetings and family gatherings as well. The food is excellent (I would recommend the pasta, not so much the risotto). We experienced the most professional and comfortable service in a long time. Well done!

Kogo is situated in a kind of oasis, right in the (old) towncenter of Praque. It has a great outside terrace, surrounded by beautiful trees, grass and sitting-benches where people meet each other in a very relaxed atmosphere. And the food - wow the food - is absolutely perfect. If you want to enjoy excellent Italian food, you have to... More

We had eaten here years ago on our first trip to Prague and had never forgotten the wonderful food or service. We were so happy to find it again. Same owners and servers, but they no longer serve pizza. Still, the charcuterie we had was awesome and the dinner that followed was fresh and delightfully prepared. We had lamb, octopus,... More

I popped in here with some colleagues from work when we wanted to find something other than the standard Czech fare (having been to Prague many times over the last few months). The restaurant has a serene courtyard setting sitting amongst shops and office buildings and had a decent selection of Italian dishes which were all well executed, I decided... More

Sadly, despite the lovely setting and the buzzy atmosphere, food was only OK. We tried hard to find some Czech cuisine on the menu but it is first and foremost Italian. And that was not great. Veal ragout tagliatelle came with overcooked pasta and a cut up veal chop mixed in to too little of a tasty sauce, veal cutlets... More

Just to give you an idea, while we were leaving after the first dinner, we simply booked again for the next evening with no hesitation! In a city like Prague, going around and looking for a good restaurant could be really either stressing or boring or sometimes disappointing. That is because everyone knows that local specialties are really central-northern Europe... More

Loved this place. Cuisine is Italian. Waiters, though Czech seem to have trained in Milan, not an altogether bad thing. The food, drink & wine all exceptional. The light touch is difficult to find in Prague but very appreciated.

Staying in Nove Mesto (New Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred meters long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theaters. National Theater near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.
