Not made to feel welcome

We decided to pop into Kogo for an early dinner before catching the train home. We had eaten here before at a business dinner and had liked both the food and the service. Today was a little different. I have never been treated with such indifference by a maître d' . Our request for a table was was... read more

Great place with nice garden. Good food, bit expensive. Croatian/Serbian staff, average Italian food. The main problém is that the whole restaurant is smoking allowed, even during the lunch time. Really strange,

Great dishes, very nice environment, but the reason why I have to give just 3 star is the service. Unfortunately we haven't had a luck for a friendly staff, as we came to the entrance of the restaurant, we had to wait about 5 minutes till the lady came and asked us in a kind of rude way to put... A vert tasty Italian restaurant tucked away from the Main Street. Very tasty food, and a nice setting but our waiter was miserable and seemed unconcerned with ourselves during the course of our meal.

Every time I get the chance to travel to Prague, I always stop by for lunch or dinner at Kogo. The place is not very big, so you are better off making a reservation. In summer, they also have a patio outside. If you are a fan of Mediterranean cuisine, you should go to Kogo. The food is delicious -... More

Went to Kogo for lunch. It's a bit hard to find - it's through the mall on the interior courtyard in the back. The interior was very nicely done - very modern. Service was excellent and attentive. The food was fantastic and we had a great time.

We had lunch here as our main meal of the day since we had a performance to attend in the evening. Very impressed that prosciutto and melon were superb in December. My husband ordered it and I expected it to be mediocre due to the season. Pretty room and good service.

The service and atmosphere are delightful, it's a touch towards high-end eating, but not in a stuffy, pretentious way. Food is excellent and the menu is quite extensive, ranging from delicious meats and fish, to pasta and pizza's. A great place to dine for friends, couples and business meetings.

Know the place from previous trips to Prague. The food is excellent and very professionaly prepared. The decor is classic, pity they don't have a non smoking section. The waiters though are slightly on the pompous side from the type of "I know better". A perfect choice for a formal dinner in Prague. Mind it's quite a pricey place.

Staying in Nove Mesto (New Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred meters long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theaters. National Theater near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.
