Raclette Lunch on a Chilly Day = Perfection.

My husband and I were here on a Friday for an early lunch. We chose the Raclette for 2. (We have a Raclette grill at home so we were familiar with the concept.) The Bistro only had a couple of other customers so it was very quiet. (Again, this was pretty early for lunch.) The server was polite... read more

Dinner, Raclette, next two tables occupied by "boss" with a lot of accounting documents, receipts, loud communication with staff how the business went during the day, recalculation of coins on the bar. After our honest and calm answer on the waitress question “If everything was OK”, we received “boss” shouting over the street to visit rather McDonald or Hot dog... More

Friendly and efficient service, quaint atmosphere, good food. Had raclette for 2 and spent and enjoyable time having a nice chat with a friend.

I have some mixed feelings on this cafe. On one side, the atmosphere, service and the overall feeling about this place is just perfect. Romantic, very nice, the staff is very friendly and helpful. On the other side, the prices are just too high (even with taking into consideration the location). And why did I gave only 1 point to... More

Wanting a change from Czech food as we were in Prague for 5 nights we spotted this charming bistro near the Castle area. We opted for the very good value raclette experience for 2 people at 599C It came with large quantity of cheese to melt, salad beautifully dressed and a plate of various cold meats as well as boiled... Its not often that I am forced to write a somewhat negative review as I do try to concentrate on the positives. However, I have just finished what must be the worst coffee in Prague. The service from staff was iffy at best, the cappuccino was overheated, watery and burnt. To top it all, two cappuccinos cost 134 Czech Crown... More

Went for a bottle of wine and an order of raclette. We were brought a lovely spread and nice selection. There is also a terrific selection of desserts.

Saw this little place last time we were in Prague, and were impressed by the menu, and the prices, but never managed to get back there, so marked it as one to visit on the next trip. Easy to find if you know where it is, very close to Charles Bridge on the Mala Strana side - come off the... More

We stumbled upon this cafe one morning and decided to give it a try. It had cute tables inside to sit at and comfy sofas to enjoy coffee. We opted to have breakfast and were very happy with the freshly made food an great coffee. The staff were very friendly and we enjoyed our last morning in Prague there. It... More

Staying in Mala Strana (Little Quarter)

Neighborhood Profile
Mala Strana (Little Quarter)
Malá Strana is one of the oldest and the most beautiful neighborhoods in the city. Nestled underneath Prague Castle it was once a part of the Kings route taken by future kings on their way to coronation - originating in the Old Town, crossing Charles Bridge and leading to Saint Vitus Cathedral. Cobblestone streets are lined with picturesque medieval houses, remarkable palaces, churches, kitsch shops and restaurants. Do not hesitate to turn a corner into any narrow street. You will suddenly find yourself in a calm and charming neighborhood full of hidden gardens, parks with peacocks, fruit trees and ponds. As the neighborhood is a home to Czech Parliament and many ministries, you can also run into well-dressed officials. If you are thirsty or hungry, it is the right place to be. Restaurants offer delicious traditional food and of course, the best Czech beers.
