Great Service and Great Location

We only stayed here for drinks only, which the prosecco was very cheap and the service from a waiter called Petr was top class. I would recommend you come here to wind down after a day of sightseeing.

Our second night dinner location. Great ambience of the square, street artist (in our case a brilliant fire act), food excellent, service really good, wines lovely. Looking at others around us, we noted that the Italian dishes did not seem to be particularly authentic Italian, and our neighbouring table confirmed this on enquiring of the quality. We went for "international... More

Excellent food and service in an atmospheric 13th century cellar. We .especially liked the discrete tv showing the archaeological dig.

We ate at the Caffe Italia recently while in Prague for a long weekend break. The location in the old square is excellent and the staff and service was first class, only to be let down by the more than average food. I know it's not that expensive but that pasta dishes are very bland and my bologna she had... More

This restaurant is on the edge of one of the main squares in Prague and provides a perfect spot to watch the many activities in the square while having lunch. We lunched here twice and must commend the pork as superb and very good value, especially when washed down with a glass of wheat beer.

The food was delicious, and in a good price. The service was very kind, yet a bit slow. We ordered the gnocchi with grilled chicken, which was prepared well, and the pasta with salmon, which was good as well.

This is one of many restaurants on the main square. Yes the area is full of tourists and that is what these restaurants cater for. We sat outside on a busy Friday evening because it was so warm. The service was nothing special, but it was quick and the waiter was polite. My wife had the half duck with dumplings... More

Right on the Old town Square, and a great place to sit till you see BIG spiders dangling on over your head, as we were sitting on the edge over the canopy and next to the street light. When asked to shoo them away the waiting staff ( in our case) actually said, that this spider is living here for... More

Famished at 21:30, and not thinking straight, we decided to plop ourselves down at the nearest available place while at the main square What a mistake! Service was for tourists Food was for tourist Trying to pay in Euros, the waiter invented new math, of course in his favour Avoid avoid avoid Distance yourselves 5 minutes from the main tourist... I had lunch at this caffe, with few family members two days back, the location is great, but very slow services, with unprofessional and arrogant personnel, and average food quality, and certainly at higher prices. I know Prague very well, and I can tell you that all those locations around the city square rely on the fact that visitors are... More

Neighborhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighborhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
