Found this bar after a tip off from the taxi driver who picked us up at the airport. So glad we did, it was full of locals with just a smattering of tourists. The beer was good, didn't eat but the food we saw looked delicious. A must if visiting Prague!

Really disappointed this has A TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence Rating. Went last night-Monday night and couldn't get served. The bartender was nasty and said he didn't understand Beer. Then, he would laugh. If they only want to serve locals, they should have a sign up. Be rude and blatenly not serving someone is plain rude. He was plain obnoxious. We... More

Smoky pub with an unforgettable atmosphere and quirky bartenders. Excellent beer, non-smoking bar, where if you want to smoke you have to pay to Hippo (jelly). Unique experience.

I have a friend and colleague from Prague, so when we visited, he treated us to one of those tucked away treasures that you rarely find (unless you are looking!). The comments recently are spot on, even if I didn't read them first! Jan asked me to rate the place as terrible as that way, non-locals stay away!! This really... More

A typical Czech beer place = small, crowded, with dense cigarette smoke and not the friendliest of staff, but - the beer is amazing!!! Don't take your wife/GF/mother with your unless they are beer nuts (or better yet leave them at a nearby café) but go and have 1 or two and taste hot the true Czech Pilsner should taste!

Stumbled across this place whilst walking from the castle to the bridge. Innitially I was put off due to the clouds of cigerette smoke I could see as I opened the door, but as the Mrs is in charge I went on in and we were immediatly greeted by one of the bar chaps. He pointed for us to sit... More

This small joint is famous for beer and location. Just a few steps away from Prague Castle and Brittish Embassy you can order a beer a drink it while standing, because the tables are already full. Unless you came early. The beer... oh my god, you order one and suddenly you are having fourth in a row! How could this... More

This is a great little city centre, basic, old-fashioned, boozy, locals, type pub, not set up for tourists or for smart food or posing or messing about in. As being British we (wife, 18 yr old son + self) loved it. Got beers from the bar using as much Czech as I could, which raised a smile, not least from... More

Small but usually crowded place. Prices are average, choice of food is not very wide, but food is really tasty. I believe that this place is preferably for locals, and staff don't like tourists very much, but if you want to try local bar - it's the best choice

Well it was an experience. We were staying round the corner so this was our local. It really is a small local pub. We went in at lunchtime and the place was crowded and there was nowhere to sit - and we tried to order a couple of coffees. The waitress who didn't smile all the time we were there... More
