Best coffee with guide

Al Cafetero is very small coffee bar in Prague centre. Only good informated visitors can found it, because id hidden in one of the small street near Náměstí míru. Here we always get a best coffee with small dishes. Coffee is here the main product. The staff is not only to prepare and serve, but is... read more

Maybe a good place for a coffee but definitely not for a glass of wine (average quality for a very high price). The personal is not very friendly and somehow unpleasant. The server seemed to pay much more attention to people he knew and who probably come regularly. We waited 15 mins until the server noticed us, quite funny considering... More

For me Prague is a city where things get better all the time. However, feeling that one has over paid for the quality of the drinks and food consumed is still quite common in this city. Finding the right place, if you are a visitor, could be difficult to find. Many places even listed on guide books, my feeling is... More

Al Cafetero is one of my favourite places in Prague. The atmosphere is very friendly and cozy, the owner himself serves the guests, most of whom are obviously regulars. I can recommend any coffee or meal - great for business breakfast (you can show your business partner, you really know where the perfect coffe is being prepared), wonderful for a... More

I was really keen on visiting this renowned cafe, during my weekend stay in Prague. I was very disappointed to find out that they are closed during weekends. And my last try (on my way to train station) on monday morning was a disappointment as well when I learned that they open at 9am. Anyhow, luckily there is great cafe... More

For those who like coffee this place is a kind of paradise. The owner knows a lot about different preparation methods and varieties of coffee - his job is truly his hobby and he really cares about his guests and about the quality. No wonder his café won a Czech Bar Award in 2009.

As the other reviews indicate, Karel is the key to the success of his coffee shop. He works hard at providing the best drink, food and atmosphere for his guests. The location is out of the way for us yet we make it there on every trip to Prague--and were recognized after two years hiatus. Have coffee, a snack and... More

We found this great spot on a recommendation by locals. The cafe is very small and looks and feels like someone's living room. They offer a wide variety of ground coffee and preparation methods. We selected french press and vacuum pot, although you can also order an espresso or cappuccino. The owner/waiter is very attentive and explains the source of... More

This small café, serves the best coffee imaginable. For the enthusiast, the coffee is brewed at the table using the vacuum pot method and served black. Even if you normally don't drink black coffee, it is worth taking the risk, but a full range of other coffees is also available, along with excellent wines and beverages of all types. The... More

Staying in Vinohrady & Vrsovice

Neighborhood Profile
Vinohrady & Vrsovice
Compared to the medieval heart of Prague, this neighborhood standing on former vineyards developed very quickly in the first decades of the 19th century. Today, it is the place where everyone wants to live, and those who do, are proud of it. With its amazing parks, classicist houses, terrace cafés, artsy bars, cozy restaurants, markets, and vintage and trendy shops, it is a home for people from all around the world. This area blends expats, families, bohemian students and Prague’s hip community. It is a great place for breakfast in the morning, the best lunch places and a buzzing night life. After sundown, stroll down to Vršovice, the new center of the hipster, alternative and gay scenes in Prague.
