Perfect for a party with friends

We spent there very nice time with friends having the party. Perfect food, nice staff, pretty good prices... If you look for something quiet and luxurious, don´t go there... It is a pub... but good pub....

We ordered the Czech dishes. They were good especially the pork ribs. Beer is good there too and the staffs were friendly. They have english menu too and the price came up to 830kr for 4 pax with drinks. Hope this helps!

The service was excellent, the waiters were very friendly and polite and spoke fluent English. There menus were translated into numerous languages. The dishes were served very fast and tasted deliciously (both the soups and the classic Czech main courses). The prices are more than fair and the place feels authentic and not a fancy tourist oriented junk food restaurant.... More

We had Prague ham to start and Sausage in dark beer, it was more like a main than a starter. Fantastic. Then a local beef stew with dumplings and a massive piece of roasted pork knuckle with pickled cabbage, a bit like a German schwein haxe. And with 3 large beers the bill came in under €30. Highly recommend.

My husband and I visited Baterka based on the reviews here as well as on recommendations from another couple in our hotel. We looked in the window and weren't impressed and almost didn't go in..... But we did! The place was hopping, the wait staff was hustling, the food was hot, the beer was cold. We both had potato soup... More

This is a must to visit if you are in Prague, it is one of the best restaurants I visited for a long time. The tuna steak was perfect! Don't miss this one out

Stopped twice for pit stop drinks, beers and cocktails to and from the hotel across the plaza. Friendly service. Sadly, no time to test your menu for lunch or dinner.

This reataurant was easy access as we stayed nearby at the Intercontinental. Great variety of food at a very reasonable price. The services was great and you could enjoy a local beer with your meal. Would thoroughly recommend this restaurant but best to visit after the locals go home after work drinks. Around 6:30 was fine most nights. We visited... More

My wife and I stopped by for a quick lunch before a tour. The restaurant is English friendly. I had the ham plate appetizer and the beef goloush. The ham was good but nothing extraordinary. The goloush was okay, but I've had far better in other Central European countries. My wife had potato soup, which was decent although a bit... More

We had just arrived in Prague and went to Baterka for lunch. One had potato soup, one had beef broth, one had goulash and the fourth had Thai noodles. All our meals were delicious, the service was efficient and the bill including beer and came to $40(USD). I would return.

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighborhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
