Amade is in the heart of the old city of Prague in a superbly renovated baroque "Pachta" palace. The restaurant's name suggests a connection to Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (Amade being his nickname), who used to spent time in this palace during his visits to Prague. The Amade cuisine is as intriguing and unique as Mozart's music.Visit us for an impressive culinary experience, be it a multi course meal or just a coffee and an amazing plum pie. You can enjoy a beautiful view of the Charles Bridge in a private setting, whether you come for a VIP business lunch or a candlelit romantic dinner. To complement our a la carte menu, we also offer breakfasts and daily lunch menus for a very modest price.Contact us if you would like to book the restaurant for private parties, catering or gift certificates.

Worth a visit

This is one of the few restaurants in Prague with friendly staff. We arrived there after breakfast was finished, but they had no problem offering us the breakfast menu. Food was good, AND so good to experience friendly staff.

Very good food, great presentatoin, and very friendly staff! They were very accomodating and let us sit though we didn't have a reservation. It's anice walk from the Astronomical clock, or near a taxi stand.

We stayed at the Pashtuv Palace, so this was a natural venue for us. Breakfast in the AM and dinner twice during our 3 nights stay. We like the fact that it was actually very quiet considering the crowds in Prague. This could be good or bad depeninding which side of the business you are...! Anyway, we enjoyed the steak... More

After a long and torrid day of sight-seeing we wanted a soothing place to eat. The Amade was perfect: we were able to relax completely in their beautiful baroque courtyard under the summer moon, eating the most delicious food and drinking excellent wine under the guidance of our charming and attentive young waitress.Staying here it's no wonder Mozart loved Prague,... First beer not good, second one better. I had the salmon, it was fantastic. Before mains, they brought for us bread with butter and Crackling spread. It was so great. Service was good too.

Our first meal out in Prague and it was a lovely introduction to the courtesy, cuisine and good value of the city. The building is fascinating with its Mozartian associations - hence the name - and the menu first rate. Highly enjoyable!

We enjoyed a beautiful dinner at Amade! My husband ordered the duck and it was excellent. One of the best he's ever had. I had the chicken and it was superb as well. Andra, our waiter, was very friendly and extremely attentive even though we were sitting outside in the courtyard and he was also taking care of a private... More

We're told in Prague it's tough to be treated nice by employees. The staff here works very hard. We only had breakfast. That department needs a lot of help. Very minimal choices for such a luxury property. Great part was the juicer, but same carrots & apples every day. Need variety.

We enjoyed the Tasting menu (created by chef Radek Subrt) very much. Fresh and quality food, lovely service and enjoyable atmosphere. Highly recommended for special moments or romantic dinner.

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighborhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
