Amade is in the heart of the old city of Prague in a superbly renovated baroque "Pachta" palace. The restaurant's name suggests a connection to Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (Amade being his nickname), who used to spent time in this palace during his visits to Prague. The Amade cuisine is as intriguing and unique as Mozart's music.Visit us for an impressive culinary experience, be it a multi course meal or just a coffee and an amazing plum pie. You can enjoy a beautiful view of the Charles Bridge in a private setting, whether you come for a VIP business lunch or a candlelit romantic dinner. To complement our a la carte menu, we also offer breakfasts and daily lunch menus for a very modest price.Contact us if you would like to book the restaurant for private parties, catering or gift certificates.

elegant lunch at Amade

My wife and I had a marvelous lunch at Amade today. We started with a traditional pork "brawn", pieces of pork in gelée, and a smooth parsnip soup with milk foam and smoked salmon. The slow cooked pork belly that followed was perfect, as was the luncheon special, pork tenderloin in a pepper cream... read more

Petra and her team were brilliant, we organised from the UK and everything went smoothly! The restaurant is in a great, in a central location with views over the river near to Charles Bridge. It is decorated to a high standard with an opulent feel and the staff were discreet yet very amiable. The food was delicious, we had a... More

The food for lunch was delicious! They has a special of chicken schnitzel, mashed potatoes and cucumber salad. It was very good! For dinner we had a variety of cheeses, soups, and entrees and they were all good. The only complaint that I am even hesitant to mention is that my flank steak was too tough. They need to offer... This restaurant is adjacent to the Pactuv Palace Hotel about 10 minutes from Old Town or the Prague Castle. The restaurant has a warm, friendly atmosphere. The waitstaff is personable and attentive. The food is good and reasonably priced. We enjoyed the breakfasts although we ordered ala carte rather than the buffet.

We went to Amade yesterday, after we found it on tripadviser. It is really a great restaurant! It has an nice atmosphere, not too buzy, with nice corners and light colors. The staff is kind and helpfull, and the prices are low. We are personally used to Dutch prices and were positively shocked! The food is so good! We had... More

We stumbled upon this restaurant by chance on our way to the National Theatre for the ballet, we were not disappointed! Staff were very friendly, service was great. We were very limited for time so just had a main course each, I had Chicken with veg and dumplings and my partner had the prawn curry, both were absolutely delicious. Our... More

Went for dinner one night between Christmas and New Years Eve. The restaurant was surprisingly empty, but the service was great and very friendly. The food was delicious and, as someone with Celiac disease, they were knowledgeable about gluten-free options and had a menu indicating which items were gluten-free. The ambiance was comfortable, bright, and open. I would definitely return.

Neighborhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighborhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
