I called in at Whiskeria as part of my stag do in Prague with a group of 11 friends. The bar is about 5/10 mins walk from Wenceslas Square so it is close to most other central bars and restaurants in Prague. The first thing that struck us was the building in which the bar is located. Whiskeria takes up... More

We discovered Whiskeria on a rainy day after admiring the views of Saint Henry’s Tower. There is a large selection of whiskey to choose from even some from the Czech Republic. If you don’t drink whiskey the drink card includes a limited selection of wines, other alcoholic drinks, and well as soft drinks. The service from the kilt-clad waitress was... More

Wanna try different kinds of whiskey and not have to move from one place to another? Spend an afternoon/evening at this place which is just few hundreds meters from the main railway station in the old tower. Choose from their huge offer of Scotch single malts, but also whiskey from other countries (Czech whiskey included). You can visit this place... More

Astonishing service, perfect atmosphere, loads of great malts. If you happen to like or are interestet in Scotch, then this is the place you should go. You can find many rare malts as well as one the biggest selection of Bruichladdich bottlings ever. Additionally, the barkeeper is very friendly and has so much knowledge you could listen to him for... More

Wow- who would have thought in the middle of Prague, an authentic Scottish whisky bar with kilt wearing (Czech!) staff. They were very knowledgable about whisky and gave us good advice regarding different whiskys allowing us to try different types of whisky. The ambience is great with leather sofas, very friendly staff and the food was amazing.I can highly recommend... More

I've been there "accidentally" as my friends from the city took me there. The place is amazing, I totally love the interior with many things from wood and leather sofas... I want to have them at home too. I felt very comfortable there. The waiter was friendly and knowledgeable, nice to chat with him. And the meal...it is hard to... More

Staying in Nove Mesto (New Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred meters long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theaters. National Theater near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.
