Description: This was a traditional old Czech restauraunt, half way from the "Lemon Leaf" to the river Vltava on your map of Prague. We had a very tasy meal here, and would recommend it more highly than the U Flecku nearby.

Really enjoyed our trip here. Just walked in as we thought it looked quite local cuisine, and we weren't disappointed. The waiter wasn't overly attentive but appeared at the right points. We went for lunch and for two meals, two beers and two wines came to £20 including the tip which wasn't bad. Happy to pay the tip as the... More

Restaurant: U Bubeníčků, Praha Generally I do not write any comments. This time, I have to do something. I do not want people to get trapped like us. The dishes were good. Service: bad. The bill: illegal, tourists be careful! The 10% service is automatically included on the bill. Even if you find the service bad. They charge you for... More

Very good atmosphere, and local activity, great beer ask for fresh beer from the barrel not the bottled version, "Fresh Pilzen". Food very good, I had assorted sausage starter, enough for two, then Wild Boar which was superb. Went back again for my final night. No frills like tablecloths or starched shirt waiters this is a local.

They put on the bill the cover charge (couvert) as well as additional (illegal?) stamp with 10% service TIP! I suppose they put it only on the tourists' bills...

Having many opportunities for visiting the praha's restaurant, we have chosen this one, and regret. - unpleasant odour of the toilet everywhere - small meal portions - additional costs incl.

Great Pilsner for 38Czech - about £1.10. Smoky and busy and food looked amazing. Nice atmosphere and staff worked very hard.

Visited many restaurants on a weeks holiday in Prague. Most of them had an awful service. Neither unkind service, or the treated the beer without feeling. Maybee because it was late in the season. BUT one restaurant shined and it was Bubenicku. Very kind service with a great smil, not the best beer in town, but good decent fool -... More
