Like a previous reviewer has said, you just get a good feeling about a place as soon as you enter and we knew that U Betlemske Kaple was going to be a goodie. Friendly staff, reasonable prices, good portion sizes, and traditional Czech Fair - what more could you ask for. Being just a few minutes walk from the main... More

Love this place, from the moment we walked in, we knew it would be good, friendly, courteous waiters, lots of beers to choose from and great snacks, loved the carved wooden seats, overall very good.

We had goulash soup, fried cheese with French fries and chicken pepper. No bad but taste and quality 2/5. Nothing special but on the other side food is very cheap.

We chose this restaurant based on Rick Steve's book (and after we had left a very poor restaurant around the corner). I am glad we did - it gave us more of a Czech flavor for the meal as a whole and I enjoyed having the Wiener Schnitzel here that I missed in Munich. The service was very efficient and... More

We were looking for a quick meal later at night as we had returned from a day at Cesky Krumlov and stumbled across this little gem. It had the typical pretzels hanging at the table and we were met by a no nonsense waiter who efficiently took down our choices. I had pork goulash with those great Czech dumplings and... More

A relatively small restaurant with Czech dishes. The fish dish was not very fresh, but the meat ones were great. Check their soups as well

Located just 5 minutes from the old town center (just south from the Klementinum), I found this restaurant which for one thing had reasonable prices - and this so close to the center Ordered a soup (liver dumplings) which was delicious (just like mom makes), and then dared the pork knuckle. Be prepared with a big appetite for that -... More

Neighborhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighborhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
