Very good meal

The food here is very good, I had veal escalope which was delicious and a large portion. The restaurant has a czech atmosphere and the seats are wooden and carved. It was a most enjoyable meal at the end of a long day of sightseeing. I can thoroughly recommend this restaurant.

A local haunt, the food is pub style. The menu has tacky photos where you can just point and order, yet it's still a bit of a crapshoot. Originally from Chicago area, we're fairly familiar with Czech delights. The liver dumpling soup did not disappoint. Tasted just like Grandma's. The goulash, on the other hand, was in a soupy gravy... More

Went there for lunch. Ordered a goulash, grilled salmon, grilled trout. The salmon was ok. The goulash was spicy hot but tasted very good. The trout was probably the best of what we ordered.

We were drawn in by the pork knee roasted in dark beer dinner special and good prices on the chalkboard outside. The pork knees served with red and white cabbage were huge and delicious. If you don't mind the slow service and stale pretzels, you will be rewarded with a great meal.

Best meals we had in a week in Prague. Especially the salmon. And get boiled potatoes with your meal too. And a beer. Cheaper than most of the restaurants in Prague and a whole lot better too.

We went for a dinner with my girlfriend in "U Betlémské kaple" restaurant. We chose this restaurant at random. I would say that the first look was not so bad. Nicely shaped wooden chair and banks. All was designed little bit rustical and quite nice. However... We experienced the bad luck of having "the kitchen view" table. We saw there... More

We stumbled upon this restaurant while aimlessly wandering the streets of Prague, just enjoying the city. The place had many locals inside - already a good sign! We had some nice red wine, garlic soup (more of a broth but delicious nonetheless), grilled chicken (it was pretty good but nothing spectacular), and pork knee, which is the Czech specialty worth... We stopped by this restaurant by chance. Everything in this place is pretty much related to czech tradition. We tried the smoked pork knee and a couple of local beers...terrific! Also great value for money. Absolutely reccomended!

We decided to have a traditional goulash and we found this restaurant. The waiter showed us where we had to sit (very close to the door and outside they're cold) Immediately we kindly asked him if it was possible to close the door and his answer was 'NO'. So we ordered the meal (basically goulash and baked potato). After long... More

We decided to give this restaurant a try based on a recommendation. Basic Czech food at reasonable prices. Very few people in the restaurant at around 2000. Service was quick. The Kozel Amber was great. We had chicken and schnitzel and they were OK but nothing exceptional. They bring bread for tourists but not for locals (at 10 crowns each).
