We stayed at the Archibald at Charles Bridge Hotel and this was our restaurant for breakfast each morning and wine each afternoon in the lounge.

Beautiful setting, very attentive service. but no Czechs in site. Probably because the food is a 'sanitized' version of the real thing. The up side is that it is less fatty and probably healthier (but rather less authentic).

All the plates we tasted were very good especially the mushroom risotto, I loved it. Both the inside room as well as the tables on the riverbank are nice. The waiter was very efficient and always with a smile. As mentioned in other reviews the waiters always reminded us that the tip was not included in the account, but that... More

every time i have came to prague i have ate here, i have always had the ribs which are massive, they taste of gammon instead of the ribs we tend to get in the uk, its not the cheapest place to eat but you are in one of the main tourist parts, couldnt fault the service, but like many people... More

I like this place ,used it many times over the years, food is very good and the service is always excellent, nice log fire in the wintertime. My last visit I took in some friends for a tourist meal which went down very well and allowed them to try some things they would not normally have done.

Come here because Putin has vizited this restaurant. Pleasant atmosphere, friendly personal, good beer and meals. But in Prague you can find even better places and much cheaper, of course.

We dined here on Thursday 18th April last. We were staying in their sister hotel in the city and had been given a 20% discount voucher. We had been up there during the day with the sun shining and temperature @ 24C. The are it is located in is just stunning. Booked a table for that night. We got a... More

Despite the charming interior and promise of good Czech food (photos of Putin and Depardiu) this experience left you not trusting the local restaurants. Food was very average (a 'thick beef broth' was water...would hate to get a thin broth.) and took awhile to come out. Not good value for the price paid and quality received - i think you... More

Nothing much more to say. The food is typically Czech, the beer is great Czech beer, service is attentive. A bit more care on the food side, as there's no difference from dozens other places there around, would be great. Won't be back in a hurry, won't avoid.
