We stumbled upon this fabulous little restaurant off the main tourist streets in Central Prague. So glad we found it, very appealing from outside! Good simple menu, great ambience and welcoming hosts. Not many tables, cosy and intimate with candles, pleasant background music. Food was unpretentious, lovingly prepared and as advertised 'the best Goulash in Prague'. Great deal on the beer to... More

Having spent the entire day walking, my wife and I were keen to find somewhere off the beaten track, not expensive, with traditional Czech food and a relaxing atmosphere. Chosen at random we were surprised at how small the dining room was (later discovered that there is a second room, which seats additional diners and is directly across the hall... More

We were unsure which restaurant to try on our last night in Prague. We had eaten in a few and had been disappointed with the standard around the main square. We had narrowed it down to this one and Pushkin, across the street but chose it because it was not mainly Czech food. When we went in I was surprised... More

We almost overlooked this wonderful little gem. We decided on eating here because of their small concise menu. We were not disappointed. A tiny 5 table restaurant, you are in the front room! Meals freshly prepared, lovely bread, home made flavoured butter to start with an apperatif. Fine service from a gentleman waiter and attention to detail by the lady... More

Tonight had dinner at another restaurant! It's just a small place, four tables claiming to have best goulash in town... and cheap beer, only 25 CZK a pint (about 70 pences). To be honest, the beer price attracted us. my partner went for lamb chops with broccoli and potato gratin, I chose the the beef goulash with bread dumplings! It... More

Strolling between Wenceslas Square and Old Town Square in Prague with the better half and feeling a little peckish, we decided to try this restaurant on spec. Looks good from the outside, reasonable menu and prices and the welcome is good - ish. Now here is the strange part - seemingly, if you are of any nationality other than Czech,... More

The restaurant is quite cosy and nice. We found the food quite tasty as well, and luckily we were not too hungry, as the portions were quite small. We paid in total (glass of wine , the bread served at the table and main course) 20 EUR per person. Probably we would not go there again, but still was a... More

I spent in Prague my last day of a holiday. I was looking for some nice restaurant in the evening where I could have dinner, I was alone. "U Modreho Hroznu" was a great choice... the service was a bit slow, but still enjoyable. I had the goulash with dumplings, what is almost the Czech national dish and it was... More

Went for a late lunch with my girlfriend whilst on a city trip for 3 nights. Really nice small restaurant, had the rabbit dish as did my partner and it was brilliant. Service was as good as it could be so no complaints in the slightest! Very good value for money too in my opinion :)

Lovely service lovely people. Had a la carte and cannot fault anything. The hosts were perfect and their timing immaculate. The cosy setting of one of the old houses of Prague made it an excellent experience I will certainly visit again.

Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighborhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
