Brilliant Schnitzel for lunch

An old fashioned restaurant in the old town which has lots of separate rooms to dine in. We sat in the courtyard which was lovely and cool. The pork schnitzel was great with a delicious potato salad. The service was courteous and helpful. A very very good restaurant

Happened across this restaurant, in central Old Prague and what a treat it was! Lovely warm welcome, mature, experienced and highly capable waiter. Very friendly chef who came and helped serve his home cooked food with pride and flair. Nice crisp table linen, pleasant company of like minded diners, and delicious food - mix of trad and contemporary, all prepared... More

The restaurant looked quaint and quality with older waiters, so we decided to give it a try. We ordered an appetizer to come first, then a main. They served lackluster bread. The bread we bought at the local mini market convenience store was better than theirs. After waiting a half hour to be served, they brought the appetizer and main... More

Got the goulash with bread dumplings. Tasted very hearty and like oxtail soup. The beef was very tender. My partner got the rabbit and was very tasty. To drink we got the Czech rose and was pleasant. Service was slow, ordered water that never arrived and they still tried to charge. Food was very nice and really enjoyed it.

Before we started ordering, the waiter serve us bread. Having read the menu we knew that they charge 30 CZK per person for the bread. We asked the waiter if it was chargeable and he replied yes, to which we didn't want the bread. The waiter then exclaimed "Why come to a restaurant if you don't have the money?" He... More

We were looking for some traditional Czech food and wine and liked the look of this restaurant as we passed. The menu also looked good so we gave it a try. We wanted somewhere a bit more sophisticated (e.g proper table cloths) but not pretentious. We were very happy with our choice. We were seated in a room to the... More

We chanced upon this restaurant on Husova and were not disappointed. The place seemed to be quite small although I think there were other dining rooms. We were in a small room to the right of the entrance. It was old fashioned but very cosy. We liked the choices which covered both meat fish and vegetarian options. The food was... More

Built in1370, The blue grape has been operating as a restaurant since 1992, with visits from many famous people. The food is lovely home style Czech food and the staff and owner are so welcoming, service excellent. So good we made a return visit. Try the rainbow trout! Good food, good value.

We just happened to be walking down this street, looking for a nice place to have dinner. We did not want the tourist experience but perhaps something with a local feeling. We decided to stop here because they had the menu in about 5 different languages . We went in and was greeted by a nice man, he appeared to... More

Neighborhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighborhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
