Cosy setting

The restaurant is quite cosy and nice. We found the food quite tasty as well, and luckily we were not too hungry, as the portions were quite small. We paid in total (glass of wine , the bread served at the table and main course) 20 EUR per person. Probably we would not go there again, but still was... read more

I spent in Prague my last day of a holiday. I was looking for some nice restaurant in the evening where I could have dinner, I was alone. "U Modreho Hroznu" was a great choice... the service was a bit slow, but still enjoyable. I had the goulash with dumplings, what is almost the Czech national dish and it was... More

Went for a late lunch with my girlfriend whilst on a city trip for 3 nights. Really nice small restaurant, had the rabbit dish as did my partner and it was brilliant. Service was as good as it could be so no complaints in the slightest! Very good value for money too in my opinion :)

Lovely service lovely people. Had a la carte and cannot fault anything. The hosts were perfect and their timing immaculate. The cosy setting of one of the old houses of Prague made it an excellent experience I will certainly visit again.

Starting our third week in Europe my wife and I finally lucked out this evening on our second night in Prague. We happened in off the street and were led into a wonderfully decorated warmly lit dining room where we immediately felt at home.Though reasonably priced this restaurant is probably not for the beer hall wood bench gang. The piped in... More

My husband and I decided for a very early dinner this evening (16.00) after a full day of sight seeing in Prague. We wanted to try the Czech cuisine and googled all sorts of restaurants. In the end we decided to just walk and see what we might find. The Old Town was overrun with people so we started to... More

First of all, avoid this place. Seeing the positive reviews I think it might have just been a bad day, but when you're on a holiday, you don't want to risk. The place is organised a bit strangely, but furnished quite nicely. That's not a problem. When you order your food, you get a starter - bread and some tasteless... More

We ate lunch at "U Modreho Hroznu" and were not disappointed. I opted for a mixed salad and was surprised by the big portion and the variety. We got three kinds of bread and three kinds of butter (neatly stacked up in triangular shape) and the waiter was very attentive and nice. The atmosphere is cozy. My partner had some... More

We found this little restaurant by chance on our first day in Prague. We only wanted a drink but was made so welcome that we decided to eat. The food was excellent so was the service. It is a very small restaurant with only five small tables in each room but it is very cosy and no smoking. Peter the... More
