Dinner in Prague

We were looking for some traditional Czech food and wine and liked the look of this restaurant as we passed. The menu also looked good so we gave it a try. We wanted somewhere a bit more sophisticated (e.g proper table cloths) but not pretentious. We were very happy with our choice. We were... read more

We chanced upon this restaurant on Husova and were not disappointed. The place seemed to be quite small although I think there were other dining rooms. We were in a small room to the right of the entrance. It was old fashioned but very cosy. We liked the choices which covered both meat fish and vegetarian options. The food was... More

Built in1370, The blue grape has been operating as a restaurant since 1992, with visits from many famous people. The food is lovely home style Czech food and the staff and owner are so welcoming, service excellent. So good we made a return visit. Try the rainbow trout! Good food, good value.

We just happened to be walking down this street, looking for a nice place to have dinner. We did not want the tourist experience but perhaps something with a local feeling. We decided to stop here because they had the menu in about 5 different languages . We went in and was greeted by a nice man, he appeared to... More

We've been in this small but typical Prague restaurant. We took dishes with meat variety and their typical duck meat. We've also enjoyed a good and cheap beer

Went to this tiny restaurant twice, once with work ,, which was very good, and the second time for leisure which was not so good. With such a small place, the menu is not extensive, but a good selection. Food is good and no complaints about most of it , not sure about the chicken that we were served at... More

Either the set menu or A la Carte the Czech food was cooked to perfection and served with a smile. We are from Dublin known for high drink prices but if you eat here your pint is 1euro an added bonus to the quality of the food

The dining area is certainly small and the decor lovely, however for us the tables are just too close together. No chance for a conversation that wouldn't be heard,by the next table. Obviously very popular with people waiting to access the tables, some not overly patient coming in repeatedly letting in huge gusts of cold air. Felt the wait staff... More

3 course meal for less than a tenner. Quite an exclusive intimate dining room, great service and food.

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighborhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
