Had dinner here in mid September. Small ad quiet, excellent food, reasonable prices, very attentive service, and huge portions. The starter with goat cheese was marvellous and so was the duck! I was so happy that I brought some colleagues from the conference we were attending, the following evening. Then I had two starters and managed to finish it. The... More

We can't say enough good things about this restaurant! If you're looking for an authentic Czech restaurant with amazing food and reasonable prices, and wonderful atmosphere, this is the place to go.Book far in advance so that you aren't disappointed. The evening we were there they had to turn away at least 6 groups. Very friendly staff also.

Arrived after long journey from the US and our hotel suggested this place that was just around the corner. It is so nondescript that we'd have never wandered into it on our own. Very small and quiet; I believe it is family operated. For the cost, we thought it was excellent. The pork schnitzel was tender and tasty; the pork... More

Dined here recently on strength of recommendation from our Hotel. Very cosy subterranean atmosphere and excellent food, but.....there is only ONE waiter/owner and not many kitchen staff and it was a whole hour before we were served our starter. When my husband commented on the delay, the ONE waiter apologised, saying there had been a lot of orders. Sorry, but... More

My husband and I had dinner here tonight based on the reviews, and we were so glad we did! It's a great little restaurant with excellent service and beautiful food. We were greeted warmly and loved that we didn't feel cramped as the restaurant wasn't over crowded and it felt very private - very romantic. We ordered the chicken soup... More

For a Sunday lunch we checked a few restaurants in the area but they were all closed, so we ended up at Rainer Maria Rilke. The restaurant was empty (we tend to have lunch early, around 12.15) so we had the best spot on the sofa table. The waiter is very friendly and made sure we felt comfortable. I ordered... More

Excellent restaurant, great atmosphere and the owner is completely dedicated to his small piece of art, and to the customers. Not to be missed in Prague.

My magnificent girlfriend chose this restaurant for its unique interior and great trip advisor reviews. In terms of food it was spot on! We shared the prague ham to start which was the best we have had is far on our trip! She then had a tasty chicken soup and I had a very tasty crispy duck dish which was... More

We had special czech dishes and can only recommend this restaurant. Good value for money! Lovely staff and fresh food. As we were early we could chose a table - so we chose a table with a cosy sofa. Needless to say that we stayed a fair while! It's recommended to book a table a day in advance.
