Located near the heart of Old Town in Prague, the RM Rilke restaurant celebrates the essence of the city: delicious Czech cuisine, lazy jazz serenade and beautiful poetry- there's literally an entire bookshelf of Rilke's work at the entrance (mostly antique German prints)! The restaurant is dedicated to a famous poet who lived in the area in the19th/20th century. A... More

Simply one of the best restaurants in Prague. Excellent food & service, delightful romantic ambience, stunning interior, make sure you're hungry as the portions are generous.

This place is a hidden gem in Prague! We decided to reserve a table at this restaurant having read all the reviews on Tripadvisor and we were not disappointed. The food is just delicious and plentiful (dont miss the goulash or the chicken stuffed with bacon)...you will not go home on an empty stomach. The service at the restaurant complimented... More

Our first night in Prague and we wanted somewhere traditional to eat. Thankfully TripAdvisor brought us here. It's a beautiful traditional restaurant, alluring and random decor, low rounded ceilings and a very warm family owned reastarant feeling! On arrival the waiter greated our table with homemade bread and garilc butter, and water for two. For starters we shard the goats... More

It's simple peasant food, big portions, well cooked, lots of goulash and dumplings , the lamb shank was excellent. Don't expect sophisticated presentation with dots of sauce but who needs it! The place is small and old but the owner was very welcoming and overall good value in a town where you have to be selective as many restaurants ( especially... More

Full of atmosphere, small but very friendly and welcoming .The young man serving us was so pleasant and helpful, couple this with the fine food and value for money .One could ask for no more.Do try it ,your trip will be worthwhile.Because of the compactness of restaurant and limited seating reservations are a must.

Went here with three friends (reservation recommended). The ambience is great (1920's era music, soft lighting, old photographs, candles). It really looks like old world Europe. The portion sizes are HUGE. I had the spicy beef goulash (a traditional Czech dish) with variation of dumplings, garnished with shallot, horseradish and pepper. It was the best of 5 such dishes that... More

Luckily we met some people who told us about this romantic little restaurant. Yes, the menu was somewhat heavy, but meats - and a lot of food! - is not uncommon in central Prague. This Old Town hideaway was tucked on a side street, but close enough to Charles Bridge that it can be found easily from that marker. We... More

The Rainer Maria Rilke is a good place to go if you have a big appetite and like your meat. Had the rabbit and it was very nice and most of the others in my group were quite complimentary of their meals. Portions are big and heavy with lots of dumplings. Dark and atmospheric with good beer and efficient service.... More
