Hidden Coffee Gem in Mala Strana

We came here after a wander through Mala Strana and were pleasantly surprised by this find. It's set in an unassuming building, which shares the bottom floor of an apartment. Nice open spaces in the front and back of the cafe. Dark wood panelling and old school fixtures mixed with some modern... read more

We got tired of hotel breakfast and decided to try a breakfast at Lounge. While their breakfast menu is kind of scarce, the quality is very high and even simple dishes are truly delicious. Usually I'm not the one for croissants, but the one my mom was served there was so tender and crispy, it really made me reconsider my... More

I spent time trying to find what would be a nice like crawl, around some good pubs etc in Prague, and this place came up so high we had to visit. Now, it is very nice inside, nice decor, and lovely young women serving. We ordered drinks, and the drinks came in frozen beer glasses (that was an awesome touch).... More

The breakfast was value for money. I recommend to make a reservation if you plan to go a brunch in the weekend.

We really enjoyed having breakfast at this place. Great ambiance, far from the classic touristic places, you get to feel like a local in a very artsy and nice environment. Food and coffee were really nice too!

We just stopped here for coffee based on other trip advisor reviews. We ordered two flat whites which were strong with a lovely rich milky froth. We also tried the crepe suzette which was lovely. There were also some cakes on display which looked very nice too. Friendly and efficient service and a nice place to stop at.

We're constantly on the hunt for good coffee in Prague, so this morning the team of guides decided to have our staff meeting in Cafe Lounge, so we could scope it out. The decor is beautiful and full of very nice historical touches, and the staff were warm and welcoming. We tried the vacuum coffee out of curiosity; it was... More

Cosy little cafe close to the Lesser Quater with amazing food and inrivaled coffee. If you come here be sure you try the Japneese Vacum pot as that is simply a must. Over the summer the restaurant can even arrange for you a picknic basket that you can take up to Petrin.

I was so happy I found this restaurant. The setting is lovely and clean. The food was incredible. I had a carrot soup with orange which divine. I never tasted something like this before. Afterwards I took the olive focaccia with halloumi and grilled vegetables. Perfect. The staff is friendliest I had since I arrived in Prague!

Small restaurant tucked away in a quiet street. We chose to come here for lunch after reading reviews on trip advisor and it did not disappoint. He had well-cooked interesting Czech food with a good selection of tempting puddings all at a reasonable price. The staff were very friendly and the service and atmosphere were good, worth a visit

Neighborhood Profile
Mala Strana (Little Quarter)
Malá Strana is one of the oldest and the most beautiful neighborhoods in the city. Nestled underneath Prague Castle it was once a part of the Kings route taken by future kings on their way to coronation - originating in the Old Town, crossing Charles Bridge and leading to Saint Vitus Cathedral. Cobblestone streets are lined with picturesque medieval houses, remarkable palaces, churches, kitsch shops and restaurants. Do not hesitate to turn a corner into any narrow street. You will suddenly find yourself in a calm and charming neighborhood full of hidden gardens, parks with peacocks, fruit trees and ponds. As the neighborhood is a home to Czech Parliament and many ministries, you can also run into well-dressed officials. If you are thirsty or hungry, it is the right place to be. Restaurants offer delicious traditional food and of course, the best Czech beers.
