Excellent food and coffee

Read about it on TA and it's not to miss. If you love coffee, be sure to try the pour over, a Japanese technique (read up on it). The coffee was sweet and fruitful. The food was fantastic, from the salad you see pictured to the meringue that my kids ate. All in all a good experience. Don't miss... read more

I've been here once for a breakfast in a large group of friends and can easily recommend it but you probably will not wow. There are better places. This has got a traditional interior a yard and fine coffee. From I've been told I wouldn't head here for a different meal necessarily. Also because the place is overall somewhat cold.

We stumbled onto this restaurant as our intended destination, Café Savoy was fully booked. I am so glad we found it. The food was great and the staff was super friendly and helpful. We had: -Frankfurt soup (delicious!) -Quinoa salad -Apple Streusel -Caesar salad (a bit heavy on the dressing but still good) -Café latte -Tea The restaurant served healthy... More

Hands down the best cafe in Prague! I have been a regular of a couple of years and can testify that the quality of food, coffee and meals has been very consistent and high. This place surpasses places like Cafe Savoy, Slavia, and even Imperial.

Thanks to the recommendation from Taste of Prague Food Tour, we discovered your coffee. Whew we were getting desperate for an excellent coffee but you came to the rescue. A perfect latte and double shot flat white.

We were a little disappointed with the food in Prague during the first days of our visit. The quality-price ratio was no the best and variety was small. But it all changed when we went to lunch at Cafe lounge! The atmosphere was great (we sat in the patio), service was efficient, the waiter was very attentive, and the food... More

The staff at this little gem was extremely accommodating! Food was fresh and delicious, we had the 'Eggs in a Glass' which I really liked and the coffee, created many ways, was delicious!

An oasis away from the crowds. Cozy little restaurant with a nice outdoor space. The menu is small but includes something for every palate. Our table ate the rabbit terrine, goat cheese panna cotta, grilled codfish, veal ossobuco, asparagus and pea pesto risotto, quinoa salad and Lamb's lettuce salad. Portions were the perfect size. It was all fresh and served... More

We read about the great breakfast at cafe lounge on tasteofprague.com. Alas, we arrived too late for for breakfast, but the lunch was fabulous!! The staff was friendly, the space was cozy and inviting, the coffee was delicious, and the food (we had quiche and an open-faced sandwich) was awesome. Love this spot!

Staying in Mala Strana (Little Quarter)

Neighborhood Profile
Mala Strana (Little Quarter)
Malá Strana is one of the oldest and the most beautiful neighborhoods in the city. Nestled underneath Prague Castle it was once a part of the Kings route taken by future kings on their way to coronation - originating in the Old Town, crossing Charles Bridge and leading to Saint Vitus Cathedral. Cobblestone streets are lined with picturesque medieval houses, remarkable palaces, churches, kitsch shops and restaurants. Do not hesitate to turn a corner into any narrow street. You will suddenly find yourself in a calm and charming neighborhood full of hidden gardens, parks with peacocks, fruit trees and ponds. As the neighborhood is a home to Czech Parliament and many ministries, you can also run into well-dressed officials. If you are thirsty or hungry, it is the right place to be. Restaurants offer delicious traditional food and of course, the best Czech beers.
