Maybe we were hungry

This is a lovely restaurant. The staff was attentive, the food was prepared quickly, and every bite was excellent. Thoroughly enjoyed our breakfast at Café Lounge, so much so that we returned the next day for lunch which was equally delicious. The coffee is excellent, food healthy and tasty, and the wait staff very attentive. I ordered the omelet which came in its own pan and was served with delicious artesian breads. My husband order the local sausage with... More

We got tired of eating our hotel breakfast so decided to venture out to this gem. Apparently we got lucky to get a table right away because we saw several people get turned away if they had more than 4 people. So make a reservation just to be safe! The food was amazing. They had a wide variety of quality... More

My partner and I visited this place because we wanted some coffee and it was a good idea. Ve both liked it. But the service was a little rude and unpleasant.

Very nice breakfast point. Good selection of coffees. But not all waiters are so welcoming and friendly. Sometimes just a smile can do miracles...

If you - like us - are tired of dumplings after two days, this is a lovely breath of fresh air. The food is excellent and stands out from the more touristy places. However, the prices are also a little higher and you don't get as much food as in other places. If you like quality over quantity, this is... More

the people at this cafe take their food, wine and coffee very seriously - especially the coffee which was excellent. We tried to get in at Sunday lunch but it was totally full with a long queue so we were very pleased to be able to get a table on the next night for dinner. The menu was small but... More

This place contrasted with many of the bars I visited which were quite basic. Cafe Lounge is modern clean and friendly. My intention was just to pop in for a coffee however I ended up having a lunch too. The goulash soup was to die for, meat and potato broth, a hearty snack followed by a club sandwich of chicken,... We were recommended in one of our favorite spot to their competition: Cafe Lounge. The place has lovely, relaxed and intimate feel. Great if you want a romantic coffee and pastry for two. Menu not extensive but all beautifully cooked and served. Our servers Daniel and Marketa were full of smiles, effectivenes and helping tips about the menu. Just GREAT!

We came here after a wander through Mala Strana and were pleasantly surprised by this find. It's set in an unassuming building, which shares the bottom floor of an apartment. Nice open spaces in the front and back of the cafe. Dark wood panelling and old school fixtures mixed with some modern touches give this cafe a great feel. Service... More

Staying in Mala Strana (Little Quarter)

Neighborhood Profile
Mala Strana (Little Quarter)
Malá Strana is one of the oldest and the most beautiful neighborhoods in the city. Nestled underneath Prague Castle it was once a part of the Kings route taken by future kings on their way to coronation - originating in the Old Town, crossing Charles Bridge and leading to Saint Vitus Cathedral. Cobblestone streets are lined with picturesque medieval houses, remarkable palaces, churches, kitsch shops and restaurants. Do not hesitate to turn a corner into any narrow street. You will suddenly find yourself in a calm and charming neighborhood full of hidden gardens, parks with peacocks, fruit trees and ponds. As the neighborhood is a home to Czech Parliament and many ministries, you can also run into well-dressed officials. If you are thirsty or hungry, it is the right place to be. Restaurants offer delicious traditional food and of course, the best Czech beers.
