Loved the food!!

Interesting mix of vegetarian dishes that are surprisingly good. We also really liked the elegant ambiance.

Amazing vegetarian restaurant with raw and vegan options. Good mix of international food choices and traditional Czech cuisine. Had the "beef" goulash and dumpling and my boyfriend had "chicken" with sauce cranberries and whipped cream. Hummus is really good as well as the raw cheese cake. Would highly recommend but book if you can as it gets very full and... More

Visited late afternoon so restaurant was quiet (our original choice was closed for a menu change), which meant we had no problem getting seated. Main course was well presented and was very tasty (grilled goats cheese, spinach, eggplant, tomatoes, and chive dip, served burger-style in a freshly baked focaccia). The dessert (lime pie, served with sweet sour cream and fresh... More

Just brilliant. Tasteful ambience was just one of nice things here. We absolutely gushed on the lemonade ! Hidden just a short walk from the old town square, the basement sitting is in stark contrast with the cafes that line up Praha. Must visit.

My family (parents and 25 y/o and 27 y/o sisters) really enjoyed a light vegetarian lunch after such heavy Czech food. Maitrea is located just down the street from the Spanish synagogue in a wellness building -- they have an emphasis on health and wellness. The atmosphere was soothing and the wait staff were friendly and attentive. We highly recommend... More

Having a vegetarian in our group we found this restaurant in a street behind old town square. We hadn't booked, but they told us if we waited 5 minutes they would have a table. We shared a bottle of pinot gris which was beautiful. Ordered the Maitrea sharing platter for starters, lots of amazing flavours! All our meals were excellent... More

We ate one meal here every day in Prague, it was that good! The location was great. As we were staying just on the other side of Charles Bridge, we enjoyed our walk through Old Town Square to get here every time. The menu was huge, and definitely has something for everyone. I am a vegetarian but my wife is... More

Excellent atmosphere, lovely staff, good prices and so many options for dairy free eating. It was great!! Their raw and vegan desserts are amazing too.

I was directed to try this restaurant on TripAdvisor while visiting Prague in mid-July and stopped by to eat on a Sunday afternoon. We opted to eat downstairs in the bar area as it was 1st come 1st serve. My friend and I ordered the 2 Czech specialty options (spicy goulash and traditional “Svíčková“ prepared with vegetarian 'meat pieces') and... More

I went there with non-vegetarian friends. All of us loved the food! It was really tasty and special. I would love to go back when I am visiting Prague next time.

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighborhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
