Fantastic neighbourhood restaurant

We visited this restaurant twice during our 3 day visit to Prague (too short!). It was very close to our hotel & recommended by the the hotel manager, so we checked it out on short notice. It didn't disappoint - so we had to go back a second time. We sat on the a patio both times and it was... read more

Been to this restaurant around 2-3 years ago. Was not very happy as the service and the management was quite rude and not very welcoming and the food also was not perfect. However, decided to give it another ago and I was very glad I did. They have a new management, it is run as a family business and the... More

We met there with friends for dinner. Place is run by an owner from Adria region, knowing what seafood is. Tuna tartar and octopus carpaccio along with white wine made beautiful start of the evening. They serve a la carte, but are open to prepare seafood plate for sharing for few people. Everything tasted very well. Recommended.

This intimate, elegant space offers a broad range of well-prepared Italian dishes, but the highlight is the carefully prepared seafood. We ate the monkfish and a frutta del mare: both superlative, fresh, and reminding us of Croatian cuisine. Salads are substantial and also fresh; wine list is somewhat limited but of excellent quality. Service is friendly, attentive, but not obtrusive.... More

Like most places in Prague the food was very good. Served in a candle lit room with helpful friendly staff. Menu choice was a little limited but we enjoyed our food and the wine was also good.

We needed a friendly neighborhood restaurant (5 minute walk from Namesti Miru) that could accommodate 10 people for dinner (made a reservation) with good food that was reasonably priced. This place fit the bill. Service was excellent, everyone seemed to enjoy their food and we stayed for 5 hours! The dining room was very comfortable and cozy. It was too... More

In a quiet street of the busy Vinohrady district (Prague 2), this is a pleasant Italian-style restaurant serving Mediterranean-style fish, meat and pasta dishes and also some special Balkan dishes (such as Pljeskavica, ajvar) as the restaurant is owned by a family from Sarajevo. The décor is quite stylish and elegant. We really enjoyed the Mediterranean fish soup, tasty bread,... More

Giardino, Zahrebská 24, Praha 2 tel: +420 222 513427 I came to Praha to give a workshop and the organizer took me to this very charming and well-priced little restaurant in the neighborhood. As the name tells already you can eat in a very nice inner garden under chestnut trees and big umbrella’s ( welcome when the chestnuts are falling... More

Staying in Vinohrady & Vrsovice

Neighborhood Profile
Vinohrady & Vrsovice
Compared to the medieval heart of Prague, this neighborhood standing on former vineyards developed very quickly in the first decades of the 19th century. Today, it is the place where everyone wants to live, and those who do, are proud of it. With its amazing parks, classicist houses, terrace cafés, artsy bars, cozy restaurants, markets, and vintage and trendy shops, it is a home for people from all around the world. This area blends expats, families, bohemian students and Prague’s hip community. It is a great place for breakfast in the morning, the best lunch places and a buzzing night life. After sundown, stroll down to Vršovice, the new center of the hipster, alternative and gay scenes in Prague.
