Food was great for reasonable price. Beer was very good and cheap because they had happy hours - each second beer for free:) and we got it. They recommended us unfiltered beer. Friendly staff. thanks,

Huge restaurant in the basement of Obecni Dum serving traditional Czech food, although you wouldn't have guessed from the outside. It's also a traditional environment, although looked a little like a German Beer hall. Took awhile to get a seat, and they weren't too busy at the time, but got a booth style table, which gave us some privacy. The... More

We were starving for meat after 10days in Europe, we found it here. Good value for money, well prepared and the service was good as well.

This restaurant is in the basement of the Municipal Building, a remarkable step back in time to the art deco period in every respect, and certainly worth exploring in it's entirety whilst you are there. The menu was comprehensive, and, as people who are not particularly knowledgeable about traditional Czech food, we really appreciated the fact that all the dishes... More

Having visited Obecni Dum several times in the past, I was unaware there was a restaurant in the basement of the building. However, having seen a sign, and then having to ask someone for further directions, we eventually made it down the stairs into a huge restaurant area. My first impression was that it reminded me of the restaurants in... More

This is not an obvious restaurant you will see from the street. In fact, there is only a free standing sign that shows examples of food being served with an arrow pointing down. The trick is then to find how go get there. Once found, it is huge....it seats like 500 people in several rooms. The large barrel vaulted ceilings... More

Downstairs in fabulous Art Nouveau surroundings and with live music from an accordianist. The menu is good, the food delicious and the atmosphere great.

On my second visit to Prague I was pleased to find this restaurant and experience the local food as the first time we went somewhere else and it was a disappointment. The service was efficient and polite, the decoration and music authentic and the bonus was the meal which was delicious. A must to try Czech food, and very reasonable... More

We would only recommend this restaurant only if you have the whole day to wait for some salty average food with terrible customer service that is 2 times more expensive than local delicious pub food.
