Everything a top restaurant ought to be

We were lucky. At nearly 11pm, after a concert, we went in and asked if the restaurant was still serving. The staff were welcoming and friendly, not reluctant only 10 minutes before the kitchen closed, as we might have expected. There were 4-5 other tables occupied. We were seated by the window... read more

I've been here with my girlfriend for a special dinner on Saturday 23rd. We were looking for a nice restaurant with panorama view but we found much more! Service: since first steps you feel comfortable with waitresses taking care of you in a smiling and not oppressive way Location: elegant and refined, not crowded and tables not too close to... More

I booked our table in advance to avoid disappointment and was so glad I did. We went for the tasting menu with the wine and it was just brilliant, the combinations were spot on. Everything was cooked to perfection and the service was just at the right pace. The sommelier was so friendly and could tell we were clueless but... More

Had the tasting menu along with the wine pairing, and it was not disappointing. The restaurant has excellent views of the Charles Bridge next door, and the river. The tasting menu had several choices depending on the season, but the traditional had the best options for us. Great service and great food. What more cab you ask for? Recommended.

I went to this restaurant because of the positive reviews on Tripadvisor and many people were particularly enthusiastic about the view and the location. Honestly I didn't find it particularly special, there are many restaurants in the área, with much better view. Regarding the food. it is actually extraordinarily good! If you are willing to spend 50 - 60 euros... More

The food was delicious and our waiter was fantastic. When we told him a compliment, he was very kind and admitted as nervnichate when serving foreign tourists. The menu is quite extensive wine list, and we got some great advice from the steward. View of water and bridge stunning - it's a table by the window!

We (4 people) asked if we can sit outside on a table which just got free and they said ok. We sat there, it was dirty (The rest of dishes from previous people were there and all). We told the waiter, he said one minute (never cleaned it). He didnt bring the menu either (We went inside and picked up... More

We dined at Mlynec after a concert, arriving only at 22:10, but they took great care of us. The food was refined, creative and original, with great local wines by the glass recommended by the very friendly and helpful sommelier. All in all a great experience, and we'll be back the next time we're in Prague.

We had just completed a river cruise and looking for a place to eat dinner. We found the food superb with thoughtful surprises in the form of a complimentary cucumber mousse to start and... More

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighborhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
