getting a bit same same

This place has been around a couple of years. They do have nice service and nice wines, but the food is always the same. They show huge pieces of meat and fish before taking orders, then eventually everything turns up cooked the same way as last time. They always recommend the same plate of mixed... read more

It is too simple for the prices they charge here. Food is fresh but not special, interior is clean but generally overpriced.

We wandered in without a reservation, but were seated in the back of the restaurant right near the window that looks into the kitchen (the reason for the name "La Finestra", meaning window). It was private and special, and fun to watch the chefs preparing the salads and desserts that were in front of us 5 minutes later. The food... More

This was hands down one of the best meals I've had anywhere. Pork chop (a new item) was fabulous and the steak wonderful. Sides all exactly as you would want. Even the bread was delicious. Service excellent and, while on the high side for Prague, compared to most other cities this is a very reasonably priced meal. If I could... More

My third visit here. Excellent food and wine. Very nice atmosphere and intereur. Staff is very kind and professional. Coming back again. Have travelled a lot worldwide, but this is my favourite restuarant. Mr. Kaae

We often go to Aromi (another restaurant that belongs to Richardo) but this time decided to try La Finestra. I had the baked sea bass (not in salt) and it was excellent, the choice of the suggested wine - very good, my husband had the grilled veal - again - very very good! Desserts were to die for!

Dined here with my family and friends a couple of weeks ago,we all enjoyed our meals, I ordered the sea bass grilled, it was probably the best fish I've ever eaten. I highly recommend dining here.

Nine of us had Christmas Eve dinner and enjoyed the ambiance, service and food. Given the price, this is a restaurant for a special occasion, but well worth it.

Finestra used to be our favorite restaurant in Prague, but with the fame, the place is sadly beginning to slack. They've lost their exquisite attention to detail. The sea bass is still to die for. Have it grilled and not baked under salt. but either way, great fresh fish. And a good selection. The meats however have gone terribly wrong.... More

Neighborhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighborhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
