Exquisite pasta, beef steak, grappa

We saw the good reviews on tripadvisor and came here for dinner. We also came back for a second late lunch. Not a single second of disappointment. The food is sophisticated, but the prices are very friendly, and the waiters are very helpful. Outstanding food and desserts. Best restaurant I've been in Prague.

A group of 5 of us had dinner here in Sept 2015. Food was excellent. As one other reviewer noted, the restaurant was relatively quiet and well worth the stop. We had a recommendation for the related bistro next door, which was also very good.

Really really enjoyed our meal at La Finetra. Had steak tartar to start followed by Octopus for main with chocolate cake for desert. My wife had pumpkin ravioli followed by monkfish in an incredible fish broth and tirimasu for desert. Possibly have had more fun in other restaurants but in terms of food this place is top class.

Impressive Food - Fresh, aromatic, professionally prepared and efficiently served with a smile. Great also the absence of acustic pollution. We have been especially impressed by the readyness to serve our special request to always share a meal allowing us to taste a lot of different dishes. AAA

A delightful meal of duck tortellini followed by grilled octopus. A little Amuse Bouche and a palate cleanser were a lovely touch.

Dear Pjgill, I love duck tortellini too... Duck is a typical Czech food so it's easy to find it in Prague but our tortellini are something different, I think. The pasta is home made and is very light (almost transparent), the filling is delicate but tasty and you can clearly distinguish the taste of each herb, each vegetable inside. I... More

We were on a guided tour and only had 1 chance to eat on our own in Prague. We decided to choose La Finestra and we were definitely not disappointed. We were a bit worried that just showing up without a reservation would be a problem especially during the Christmas season. But it was fine as it probably already late... More

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighborhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
