La Finestra in Cucina was opened in 2009 as the second restaurant of Italian chef Riccardo Lucque. The restaurant features an open kitchen where you can observe Chef Tomáš Černý performing his artistry as he prepares your chosen meal. La Finestra specializes in meat dishes. I visited La Finestra on my last evening in Prague. It was simply fantastic! The waitstaff were incredibly helpful and attentive including the sommelier who chose excellent wines to match the dishes I ordered. Each dish was exquisitely presented and each had marvelous flavors. It was far and away one of the best meals I've ever had. A lovely way... More

We are from the New York City area and know excellent Italian cuisine. La Fenestra is fabulous and would be a hit anywhere on the planet. The rigatoni & clams were great! The mushroom risotto was perfectly put together. The sea bass for two cooked in a sea salt crust was moist, tasty and fantastically served. The wines were nice... More

We were expecting to have an awesome meal but it turned out to be so mediocre. The cost was more than Euros 200 for 2 people. What a rip off!!!!!

La Finestra is an Italian restaurant near the river, on the border of the old town section of Prague. The menu offers a fine range of Italian dishes prepared with a contemporary flair using great ingredients. For example, my starter was veal sweetbreads with truffle foam and shaved black truffles. My wife enjoyed a soft shell crab "burger" as a... More

We went to La Finestra for our last dinner in Prague and we were not disappointed. The restaurant was packed when we were there and the atmosphere in the room was pleasant - a bit noisy but the tables are not so close to each other so you still have privacy. The staff was polite and attentive and gave great... More

I like La Finestra and especially its lunch menu, which occur occasionally dish as if it made an Italian grandma. Similarly I love their fresh salads. I keep my fingers crossed Riccardo whether it would last a long time.

First of all make sure you reserve as it fills up fast, we saw 6 couples turned away. The food was great and really nice. The pasta was slightly cooked but the sauce was great. We ordered the pork brisket and were disappointed that the crackling wasn't as crackling as normal. All in all good service great food and a... More

Four of us visited La Finestra in June 2015 and to say we were impressed would be an understatement. La Finestra is billed as an Italian Restaurant but beyond the traditional dishes is an assortment of outstanding fish and meat dishes prepared by their expert chefs. All four of us choose the fish, in this case sea bass and monk... More

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighborhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
