Amazing food, very affordable

We kind of stopped here on a whim, and were super surprised by the service, the food, and the prices. Hands down, one of the best dishes I have ever been served in a restaurant. Another nice touch was using Ipads as menus. It enabled us to see what the dishes looked like before ordering. However... read more

We search the best restaurants near us that were not expensive and this has great reviews in tripadvisor so we decided to try it. I recommend it for couples because the place is beautiful and private. The food is good and the attention of the waiters was excellent! We had a great night there.

Smart, friendly and traditional food at good prices. Close to our hotel the Lokal Inn. We did not need to book but it may be busy in high season.

We had been told by a taxi driver that this restaurant had excellent meals and when it became apparent that it was just around the corner from our hotel, it was a sign we had to eat here. It's a pretty busy place and you should book. They are sometimes closed for private functions. But it's so worth the effort.... More

We came here for a late lunch after our trip to the castle. The service was fast, prices reasonable and the food was good too- not great but still good. Also, the portions were really big so it might be enough to share a main course after appetizers. I had the potato soup and then the schitzel with potato salad,... More

I re-visit this restaurant on January 2015. Again the food and the service was excellent. Although this time i was very surprises to be the only customer on a Friday night. I really don't understand with such a good food and service in Prague. Not really the typical Czech restaurant for tourists. Totally recommended again.

Ate tonight at a wonderful restaurant - the welcome & use of iPads for menus matches any 5* location ( hey cruise people - seen Qsine?) Fresh food - I had smoked halibut & my husband goats cheese starters followed by a light crayfish spaghetti & a beautifully seasoned chicken dish all accompanied by a delightful Sauvignon . Cheese &... More

Just away from the tourist 'zoo' on Charles Bridge, we found this place in a quiet street near the waterside. Our first encounter was for coffee in their little Bistro - delicious. Having peeked at the restaurant - totally unlike the traditional exterior, with sleek, modern, minimalist decor, this was worth a try. We returned for lunch, and were not... More

Food was good, starters were good size and main course was delicious (we had risotto and duck). Desert was delicious pannacotta, not very big but after 2 courses already good. Service was fast, and food came fast.

Neighborhood Profile
Mala Strana (Little Quarter)
Malá Strana is one of the oldest and the most beautiful neighborhoods in the city. Nestled underneath Prague Castle it was once a part of the Kings route taken by future kings on their way to coronation - originating in the Old Town, crossing Charles Bridge and leading to Saint Vitus Cathedral. Cobblestone streets are lined with picturesque medieval houses, remarkable palaces, churches, kitsch shops and restaurants. Do not hesitate to turn a corner into any narrow street. You will suddenly find yourself in a calm and charming neighborhood full of hidden gardens, parks with peacocks, fruit trees and ponds. As the neighborhood is a home to Czech Parliament and many ministries, you can also run into well-dressed officials. If you are thirsty or hungry, it is the right place to be. Restaurants offer delicious traditional food and of course, the best Czech beers.
