„La vera pizza Napoletana“, skutecna neapolska pizza nyni v Praze!

Located right next to the Charles Bridge, the newly opened Ristorante San Carlo Mala Strana, named after the famed Opera theatre in Napoli, provides a cosy atmosphere with Italian friendly touch and most importantly the authentic Napolitan pizza. „Pizza is a passion and an art for Neapolitans and it has clear rules how it should be prepared“, explains the acclaimed Neapolitan pizzaiolo Antonio di Filippo. „The key are the ingredients and the right preparation. The stone oven should be over 400°C to ensure that every bite is crispy just as it should be.“

Cheerfull and good food

Had been there last night for a dinner. it has a really cozy interior and the service was warm and cheerful. I recommend this place for a romantic dinner and quiet getaway. They have a nice wine selection and their prices are welcoming too for this part of town. Love it :)

I visited the restaurant with my Italian family and I discovered a wonderful pizzeria in the heart of Prague. The pizza is the best Neapolitan you can have in Prague. The atmosphere is charming and elegant. I will surely go back very often.

This place is fairly new and was in our hotel so on a rainy night gave it a try. I soon realized that the excellent reviews I had read were for their other place in a different area of Prague. Place was empty (every night) and service was fine...food just okay and a certain smell that I concluded was from... More

Went to San Carlos for dinner with friends, and we were all favorably impressed with the high quality, standard of service and atmosphere of the place. We returned to the restaurant approximately 1 week later to try additional entrees. The pizza is top notch and authentic Napolitano per my Italian spouse. Also notable for comfortable couches. A new favorite in... More

This restaurant is tucked back into a quiet little street but is still close to many main attractions. The Italian food is authentic and very yummy. The pizza really is outstanding and the ambiance very nice. Try it, you won't be sorry!

A perfect place in a garden to have a lunch, with a friendly service, although they forgot a little to take an order from us, while we had a drink. Two waiters (Italian and Slovak) were really nice. The minestrone soup was great with fresh vegetables, the bread was ok. The espresso really Italian, the home made lemonade fresh and... More

Atmosphere: wonderful setting. Ate in the garden which had. A beautiful layout. The interior is very nicely decorated as well. Food: the antipasti starter was marinated, would have been nicer to have fresh olives etc. the lasagne and pasta were good. Service: EXTREMELY slow service. When we entered the restaurant it was off-peak time and we were the only ones... More

Great food and service plush surroundings but very friendly service not at all pretentious. The setting of the hotel and outer areas are exquisite. Good choice of food and drink.

Staying in Mala Strana (Little Quarter)

Neighborhood Profile
Mala Strana (Little Quarter)
Malá Strana is one of the oldest and the most beautiful neighborhoods in the city. Nestled underneath Prague Castle it was once a part of the Kings route taken by future kings on their way to coronation - originating in the Old Town, crossing Charles Bridge and leading to Saint Vitus Cathedral. Cobblestone streets are lined with picturesque medieval houses, remarkable palaces, churches, kitsch shops and restaurants. Do not hesitate to turn a corner into any narrow street. You will suddenly find yourself in a calm and charming neighborhood full of hidden gardens, parks with peacocks, fruit trees and ponds. As the neighborhood is a home to Czech Parliament and many ministries, you can also run into well-dressed officials. If you are thirsty or hungry, it is the right place to be. Restaurants offer delicious traditional food and of course, the best Czech beers.
