Came here after dinner on the hunt for some absinthe. The waitress we had was so helpful. She went over the menu with us and was able to offer suggestions about what we should try and which drinks were served traditionally or on fire. The prices were not too bad but keep in mind it is cash only.

Cheap place, expensive prices (plus hidden costs). An unpleasant place that ruined a perfect evening. We will stay away from it, next time.

Randomly spotted this little bar while walking around the tourist areas of Prague, looks like it's theme is Halloween! We we're lucky to get a lovely armchair upstairs where we could watch the bar staff prepare the drinks! We tried the strawberry mojito which was recommended by the lovely bar staff, and then we decided to get the real deal,... More

We were walking through streets in Prague - Old Town when we found this bar. It was pleasure for us to visit this place. They have good selection of absinthe products and absinthe coctails. The personnel will kindly serve you absinth according to your taste. Certainly I will return there my next time in Prague.

A wide choice of absynth and the kindness of the waitress makes it a must. The preparation phase is a trick. Very very good.

Been here a couple of times, you have to really! Staff great at talking you through the different types of Absinthe on offer, try ones which you couldn't have in the UK. Also, ask for your absinthe flamin', they put on a show for you.

I didn't know anything about absinthe but this is the perfect place to try this mysterious drink based on wormwood, which was banned for some decades but is now perfectly legal. It's an intimate café, like an artists' hangout, and the waitress asked us questions before deciding which of the 20 or so absinthes would suit us. We liked it... More

Staying in Nove Mesto (New Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred meters long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theaters. National Theater near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.
