Let me start by saying that my expectations were high as this is one of two Michelin-starred restaurants in Prague. We had a six-course meal with the recommended wines. The restaurant itself is small and nice. Our table was a little closer to the people dining next to us than I would have preferred however, and the room really carries... More

We walked from our hotel over to La Degustation one evening while we were in Prague. It's a very pretty restaurant, small, with black and white checkerboard as a theme, on the floor, the menu, and the wall, which lends it a diner-like air. Don't be mistaken though, for this is one dining adventure that is well worth the finding... More

It's a Michelin starred restaurant and I can see why. Amazing, delicious, fantastic - I could go on. This is not a cheap quick eats kind of place, though. It's a dinner destination. You choose from two multi-course meals. Either you get the six course or the ten course, if I am remembering the numbers right, and there is overlap... More

My husband and I dined at La Degustation during Christmas week. We had a lovely time. The atmosphere, service, food, and wine were outstanding. It was one of our favorite dining experiences. It was relaxed, yet the attention to detail was impeccable. We also enjoyed the Czech wine pairings. Bravo.

Do not miss this restaurant! We sat where we could watch the staff putting together the dishes -- like a finely tuned machine. The wine pairings with each course were well chosen. Each course was prepared perfectly and served with a beautiful presentation. The meal was excellent.

We dined at 21:30 on XMAS Day. We selected the 11 course menu with wine pairing. We're self proclaimed foodies and have to report that this is a world class experience. Great idea, presentation, service and depth on both dinner and wine selection. Plus we left a special wrap the staff responded by dropping in the mail. Net, when in Prague,... More

We had a nice meal, nothing to complain about. But we would not come back. The service was excellent, ambiance excellent, many of the dishes exceptional, but all in all, not what we are used to for this category of restaurants. Maybe the 6 course meal was a better value for the food choices than the 11 courses. The wine parings... More

We had Christmas dinner here, having booked on line with very helpful staff. The choices were two degustation menus, a 6 course and a 10 course. We chose the shorter, which was supplemented by several amuse bouchée, both savoury and sweet. We didn't choose matched wines, but instead had a great Czech white recommended by the very helpful sommelier. The... More

Quite possibly the most enjoyable and delicious dinner I've had the pleasure of experiencing. Lovely restaurant with wonderfully professional yet charming staff and the sommelier certainly knows his stuff! The food was mind blowing - each course brought something new and exciting. We opted for the 11 courses with wine pairing and it was just excellent. Faultless dining experience and... More

My 11-year-old nephew said "You must be one hungry fella to eat 11 courses." Hunger = time + pacing + ingredients + setting + care. It all comes together here. Each course is a perfect morsel, an answer to all the questions foodies like to consider. What is creamy, salty, balanced, textured? The local focus was particularly good here.
