Wonderful experience

Booked it before we left the states. They followed up several times. We had the table right by the table and enjoyed the watching the staff and Master Chef. Great food but disappointing dessert and ultimately way more expensive than comparable Michelin star restaurants. Desserts should be celebratory and sweet, especially when you are paying so much. Interesting and clever - mushroom ice cream - just does not cut it in my books.

For my 40th birthday my boyfriend took me to this lovely place. I had a 6 course meal with wine. The place delivered and then some. Every bite was Christmas for my tastebugs. The service was exellent, staff friendly, helpfull and my glass was never empty. A wonderful experience.

Reservation through the restaurant website was easy. The food, unfortunately, was bland and unimaginative. The service somewhat made up for it, and the open kitchen, which we sat next to, was nice to look at. I don't think this restaurant would get a Michelin star if it were in New York or London.

Food was great; wine was good; bald waiter we got stuck with was really rude. But what are the chances you'll run into him?? Happy degustation. Avoid the bald waiter.

This restaurant is a Michelin starred restaurant, and was located about 50 meters from our hotel in Prague. It was easy for us to pick it for a gourmet meal. The restaurant opens at 6 in the evening and has 2 tasting menus and, as far as I know, no a la carte menu. One of the tasting menus has... More

We booked in advance and asked for a table near the open kitchen, which we got. The restaurant telephoned us in the UK to confirm the booking! We booked for early evening and had the 11 course menu with juice pairings. The staff were friendly and attentive, explaining each course as it arrived. The food was amazing, completely different to... More

La Degustation showed why it has earned a Michelin star. We chose the six-course tasting menu with wine pairing, and found both the food and wine exceptional. The standout dish for me was the fish cubes in broth with yeast, nasturtiums and kohlrabi oil. For my wife,it was the tomatoes with mustard ice cream and honey. Wines were nearly all from... More

The six course tasting menu was more than enough. I was full before the last course arrived. Loved the ambiance, food, presentation, staff. The entire experience was superb.

La Degustation offers two tasting menus - a 5-course and an 11-course. We chose the 5-course accompanied by the wine pairings as suggested. The service was friendly but professional, never rushing us but also not delaying between courses. Several amuse-bouches were offered. The food was beautifully prepared and offered interesting updates on some traditional Czech fare.

Neighborhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighborhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
