Good food and friendly service.

Good food and service. I enjoyed the Beer rib roast beef with potato-spinach puree. We ordered Czech goulash with dumplings, it was good too.

We were drawn here early in our stay by the fact that it seemed to be popular with both locals and tourists. Primarily Czech cuisine but there is a dual language menu with pictures, so you are not going to struggle in making your choice. Not for vegetarians though. Meat and dumplings, goulashes etc. are staples. Portion sizes tend to... More

We visited this restaurant twice as we were so impressed. It is a large venue, with a huge cellar eating area situated half way up Wenceslas Square. Staff are very welcoming, speak good English and served us in a friendly, speedy and efficient manner. We stuck to Czech food throughout our stay and my partner had goulash, which came served... Waited over an hour for our food, charged 50p for butter for the bread, the steak for £16 was not nice at all, then to top it off we were charged £9 for two bottles of water for the table. if this happened in a diffreent european city id be a bit annoyed. In a cheapish city like Prague this... More

Stopped in for a whole fish and sides. Like most restos in Prague, it was cheap for what you got (compared to other cities). Enjoyed the "knight in shining armor" greeter who will happily pose for photos. The place goes on for rooms and rooms and has a few fun displays. The fish was delicious too!

Great location for people watching but the food is fab! Was recommended by our hotels driver and he really did us a favour, went Wed night and enjoyed it so much we decided to go back the next night for my partners birthday. They were so kind and got the trumpet player from the Jazz Band playing there, to play... More

typical tourist trap in one of the busiest squares in Prague. We decided to go there because it was conveniently located, they had place for 12 people and we were so tired we couldn't walk around in search of a better option. We were tourists, after all... Then the friendly and polite waiters came, they were quick and helpful, and... More

Staying in Nove Mesto (New Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred meters long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theaters. National Theater near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.
