Good for a quick traditional bite

We were looking for a place close to our hotel for a quick lunch. We were pleased with U Posty. It's nothing spectacular, but there's a nice selection of traditional Czech cuisine. The food was tasty, the service was good. Pleasant experience overall. Bring cash, they don't accept credit cards.

Used this bar/rstaurant 2 or 3 times during our 9 day stay in Pragues New Town. Excellent Goulash & Dumplings for 99K, enough for a late lunch, to last until a late dinner. Brilliant value steak with blue cheese sauce at approx 250K and Cuba Libra at only 49K represents a great deal. Staff are not fluent English speakers but... More

Staying in Vinohrady & Vrsovice

Neighborhood Profile
Vinohrady & Vrsovice
Compared to the medieval heart of Prague, this neighborhood standing on former vineyards developed very quickly in the first decades of the 19th century. Today, it is the place where everyone wants to live, and those who do, are proud of it. With its amazing parks, classicist houses, terrace cafés, artsy bars, cozy restaurants, markets, and vintage and trendy shops, it is a home for people from all around the world. This area blends expats, families, bohemian students and Prague’s hip community. It is a great place for breakfast in the morning, the best lunch places and a buzzing night life. After sundown, stroll down to Vršovice, the new center of the hipster, alternative and gay scenes in Prague.
