Good service, good food

While staying at the restaurant-hosting Aria hotel, we dined at the Coda restaurant together with friends. The service was attentive, courteous and proficcient, and despite the head waitron's moderate accent, he was able to interpret our enquiries, recommend and elaborate on house specialities and... read more

This was our last night in Prague, so it felt like a time to splurge. This is not an inexpensive restaurant. However, the staff could not have been more gracious- and perky. Every one of them seemed to enjoy his job(on this particular night, we only saw men). The food was excellent ( halibut and lamb shank) and plentiful, but... More

My favorite places to dine always involve a chef that has an acute love for healthy, organic ingredients raised by small farms with oodles of affection. Chef David Šašek at the Coda Restaurant Prague represents the quintessence of this. Coda is located in the resplendent Aria Hotel, which boasts a classical music theme permeating throughout the property. The hotel is... More

if you're looking for a lunch spot after visiting the church or Prague castle in the Lesser Town area, this is a perfect restaurant choice. granted, a meal at a streetside cafe or diner would cost you about 160 Crowns, but this is a different experience. we paid 490 Crowns per person for a starter, a main, a soft drink... We had dinner on the rooftop terrace last week, the view was so breathtaking I really had to pinch myself! There was even fireworks across the river that night which added to the ambience. The filet was wonderful and the chocolate dessert divine. The French Bordeaux was a treat after trying the reds from Moravia all week. The service was... More

We were a large group that was handled with grace and elegance. Service was professional yet friendly. The food was very good. Unlike the previous reviewer I liked the atmosphere. They also serve a lunch on an upstairs terrace overlooking the city.

This is a hotel restaurant which occupies part of the bar area and also has a separate room . It also serves as the breakfast room. The menu is good but the atmosphere poor. We ate here on our arrival into PRague and regretted it , we should have left the hotel and ventured into the PRague evening to find... More

Dear Sir, Thank you for your visit in our restaurant, for your time as well as your feedback even though is not the one among the best. Despite you were not happy about the overall atmosphere in our restaurant, and I am worried I cannot do so much about it, I am glad you enjoyed your food. Once you decide... More

This was a treat! Elegantly furnished and leisurely dinner with several courses. Food was served under a metal dome which made the whole occasion feisty. Restaurant is not large which adds to the ambiance. My husband loved the rabbit while i enjoyed my vegetarian diish. We ate there the second time and found our review to be correct! It was... More

Staying in Mala Strana (Little Quarter)

Neighborhood Profile
Mala Strana (Little Quarter)
Malá Strana is one of the oldest and the most beautiful neighborhoods in the city. Nestled underneath Prague Castle it was once a part of the Kings route taken by future kings on their way to coronation - originating in the Old Town, crossing Charles Bridge and leading to Saint Vitus Cathedral. Cobblestone streets are lined with picturesque medieval houses, remarkable palaces, churches, kitsch shops and restaurants. Do not hesitate to turn a corner into any narrow street. You will suddenly find yourself in a calm and charming neighborhood full of hidden gardens, parks with peacocks, fruit trees and ponds. As the neighborhood is a home to Czech Parliament and many ministries, you can also run into well-dressed officials. If you are thirsty or hungry, it is the right place to be. Restaurants offer delicious traditional food and of course, the best Czech beers.
