The setting in an old basement and sparse decor is both interesting and a change from other Prage eating spots. The menu is fairly sparse (which is not necessarily a bad thing if all dishes are done well) and a little pricey. Even though we hadn't booked we got a seat by arriving early. Service was a bit chaotic and... More

One of the best meals I have had in Europe. Great food in a distinctive atmosphere. Everything was delicious. Great value. Service was fast and efficient. Really enjoyed the evening here. You'll be pleased with this selection. The only negative thing was the air was somewhat close, probably needs better ventilation.

Decent food and beer in a nice, minimalist cellar environment, with lights hanging low and illuminating the bare tables. Not cosy or romantic, but a relaxing place to chat, eat and drink nonetheless. The food doesn't really justify its price tag next to other offerings in Prague, but I don't regret the choice to come here and we had a... More

Food and wine was bland. Location is nice. Service was fine: quick and responsive. Free wifi is also nice. Most important of course is the food. Not to be recommended.

We tried to find a nice restaurant for the Saturday night in Prague and with a few full retaurant we ended up booking a table here. Nice locations but felt a bit schoolcafeteria with the table, chairs and no covers on the tables. With a limited menu it was disappointing that they were out of our choice the lamb and... More

Discovered this place almost by accident. Trough the gate at the Bethlehem Church. Entrance is opposite Bethlehem Chapel . There is a stairway down to a series of cellars and these comprise the restaurant. The food was Czech but with a modern twist. We had not booked but were eatinf quite early ( about 7.30pm ) and by the time... More

The atmosphere is really nice as well as the food and the service. It is very cheap as well which is a big plus! Try the starters and the pastas, they are amazing!

This is a gorgeous restaurant with lovely food. Clear allergen menu. Not cheap but well worth finding. Had gluten free for me. Would go again happily.

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighborhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
