A real night to remember!

I booked this restaurant on a friends recommendation and it was just a wonderful evening. The building is amazing, staff went beyond the call of duty! We had booked a table for 10:00 p.m due to a late flight from London - our flight was delayed - I called the restaurant and they said just... read more

Klub A is in the basement of a building. However, don't be afraid, its not like the basement of your childhood. This is a cellar of old; brick arches and such. The table lights can be adjusted to a suitable height. Prague was blistering hot (90+) but the dining room was cool. Food was excellent and the prices reasonable -... More

If you like windows, this is not the dining experience for you, but if you'd like to try something different, the dishes by cavern candlelight are tasty. We ordered a Pork Cutlet dish and Goulash, both which are traditionally Czech. The presentation was anything but, served with a new spin. Fresh, flavorful, and playfully presented, we enjoyed our dinners. The... More

The combination of twelfth century cellar, industrial looking fittings and candlelight makes for a different, and atmospheric, setting at this restaurant. It was quite busy on the Sunday evening we went but unfortunately the wait staff didn't manage the diners very well. Service was unpredictable:-) we waited a while to be offered menus, orders at the table next to ours... More

This restaurant is located off the beaten path. The restaurant is downstairs, in the original cellar of the building. The food was pretty good, the beer tasty and the company excellent. Good basic traditional cuisine.

Nice quiet cellar type dining room. I had the most excellent vegetarian dish. Everyone else had a meat dish and enjoyed as well. I recommend that you eat here.

The setting in an old basement and sparse decor is both interesting and a change from other Prage eating spots. The menu is fairly sparse (which is not necessarily a bad thing if all dishes are done well) and a little pricey. Even though we hadn't booked we got a seat by arriving early. Service was a bit chaotic and... More

One of the best meals I have had in Europe. Great food in a distinctive atmosphere. Everything was delicious. Great value. Service was fast and efficient. Really enjoyed the evening here. You'll be pleased with this selection. The only negative thing was the air was somewhat close, probably needs better ventilation.

Decent food and beer in a nice, minimalist cellar environment, with lights hanging low and illuminating the bare tables. Not cosy or romantic, but a relaxing place to chat, eat and drink nonetheless. The food doesn't really justify its price tag next to other offerings in Prague, but I don't regret the choice to come here and we had a... More

Food and wine was bland. Location is nice. Service was fine: quick and responsive. Free wifi is also nice. Most important of course is the food. Not to be recommended.

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighborhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
