Classic, comfortable cafe in Prague!

Visited some cafe in Prague and by far this is my favorite in Prague! The cafe located near Charles bridge but not very touristic when I visited in the morning for the breakfast. The begal I ordered tasted really with with cream cheese, tomatoes and hams. The coffee was also nice. The whole cafe... read more

A touch of nostalgia was my experience as we entered this quaint coffee shop. Coffee is roasted fresh weekly and there are about 6 choices of quality single origin coffees : on our visit Cuba, Colombia Excelsor, Java, Indian Mysore, Brazil and Uganda AAA Robusta available in beans. We ordered a Mocha, an Americano; a Latte and some chocolates. The... More

We went to this cafe for a morning coffee on two occasions whilst in Prague. There was a wide range of coffees to choose from as well as cakes and chocolate. The coffee was terrific. Other people were eating their breakfast and their meals looked appealing. We had a muffin with our coffees and it was delicious. The staff were... More

Real coffee, as it should be, delicious. Sometimes, sandwiches are a bit wet and soft, but this one was fresh and crispy!

About the best thing I can say is Cafe Ebel has free wi-fi and takes credit cards, otherwise our experience was quite average, which was disappointing give this was the closest cafe to our hotel. The menu is simple, the quiche was good, the pastries dry and tasteless. The service was so slow that my coffee arrived to the table... More

I had a good double shot cappuccino from Ebel this morning. It was well made, though perhaps still on the weak side. The lemon tart we had with coffee was delicious, though. It was all very cheap - 190 crowns for two coffees and cake. If you're near the Charles Bridge, I'd recommend dropping into this place or to Tricafe... More

My wife and I have visited a number of coffee shops in Prague and this was one of the best. It has a good atmosphere and friendly staff as well as having good coffee and cakes. Although it's not far from the centre, it's quite quiet.

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighborhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
