I visited in December for a casual family meal. A previous attempt to visit 2 months earlier was aborted as they had a sign on display at the entrance apologising that their credit card machine was not working, and I didn't have any cash. Guess what, the sign was still there. Predicting this I had brought cash, and living in... More

We have eaten there before and were happy with the food, if not with the dismissive service. This last time the person at the door (owner) was so rude I would not ever go back there. Many first class indian restaurants in Prague, no one needs to put up with this idiot.

I used to visit Masala (in Manesova st.) regularly, but the last two meals I had there were not so exciting. Therefore I had a feeling that things have changed in the past few months, and not for the better. In the first case (September 2014) I had my favorite lamb Rogan Josh, but the meat was chewy and did... More

We have been to other Masalas in Prague and were interested to try this 'baby' one as well. Place is very cosy, pleasant and clean. Tables are somehow small and we struggled to fit all the dishes and drinks there although there were just two of us. Kamal, our waiter was very friendly and helpful yet he could be a... More

I have visited the restaurant Pruhonice, food was good, staff pleasant. Food prices are higher than they should be, but it is in all the Indian restaurants in Prague.

This review based on a visit 29/7/14 is a case of could do better. The small restaurant provides a cosy atmosphere and the staff were friendly. The tables are located down a flight of stairs. Our starter was great and the beer cool. All good... Sadly things from here didn't go well. We had to wait nearly an hour for... More

Three friends and I ordered in from them through JidloTed delivery system. Everything went smoothly, but we were left highly disappointed (and hungry) by the servings. The worst example was the ''mixed grill'' at 350CZK, which we thought would provide plenty of meat for everyone. We were dead wrong; there's no it was more than 100g. I joined a picture... More

We spotted this place in the lonely planet guide and was not disappointed. We turned up on a Monday night but they were full so we booked for the following night. Best tikka masala and prawn jalfrezi ever! Authentic, freshly cooked food. Very informal and friendly. Loved it

Staying in Vinohrady & Vrsovice

Neighborhood Profile
Vinohrady & Vrsovice
Compared to the medieval heart of Prague, this neighborhood standing on former vineyards developed very quickly in the first decades of the 19th century. Today, it is the place where everyone wants to live, and those who do, are proud of it. With its amazing parks, classicist houses, terrace cafés, artsy bars, cozy restaurants, markets, and vintage and trendy shops, it is a home for people from all around the world. This area blends expats, families, bohemian students and Prague’s hip community. It is a great place for breakfast in the morning, the best lunch places and a buzzing night life. After sundown, stroll down to Vršovice, the new center of the hipster, alternative and gay scenes in Prague.
