Great Tradional Food

Yummy, large portions, reasonable prices, good service. Loved the pork ribs, onion rings, and Mlejnice salad.

Great, simple, authentic local Czech food. Good service, good price. Nothing too fancy, simply good food and good atmosphere, a place to visit instead of all the tourist traps.

Wasn't blown away by the food or the service, but on the other hand we didn't pay very much either. Look elsewhere for a memorable meal.

Prague's downtown is famous for its tourist traps. Fortunately, there are a couple of good options that are reasonably priced and with good quality. This restaurant is one of them: the atmosphere is very good, the beer is awesome and the food is great. The only bad thing is that we don't want to try other restaurants when we are... More

Neat restaurant on a side street near the old town square in Prague. The restaurant is housed in a old mill, and has interesting tools on display, The entire effect is rustic. The food is appropriately hearty and well-prepared. Good beer as well.

Stumbled across this place in search of a good goulash, and was not disappointed! We ended up coming back here the next two days once for lunch and once for dinner. The food was delicious each time and the service was great. It's my last night in Prague and I think I'll go back again for one last meal.

This restaurant was recommended by our tour guide as being just off the beaten tourist track but serving good local food. Not only was she absolutely correct, but the price was amazing! My wife and I spent US$20 for lunch consisting of two draught beers, water and two local main courses ... delicious and great value! I recommend the beef... More

Our tour guide the Prague Walker recommended this restaurant after we completed a long morning of touring. It's right in the Jewish quarter, and they have somewhat traditional Czech fare, as well as salads, which are unusual for local menus. We ordered the grilled chicken with mixed vegetables, and the beef over green beans. Both dishes were cooked nicely and... More

This place had the best local food and for great prices. We had lunch and dinner here and each only cost us around 400 crown or 16 euro. We each had beers. My husband enjoyed the dark beer both times and I tried the pilsner and the other beer they had on tap and both were nice although I enjoyed... More

A great, filling meal with tasty beer and good service. All the portions we ordered were tasty and fresh and even a little too much, very generous. Worth the compliments they receive. Price was very fair and good value for money.

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighborhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
