We drove past this place on a tour and decided to come by when we were done. We went around 5pm with no reservations and were seated immediately. The inside is really charming and our waiter was very nice and friendly, which sometimes can be hard to find especially at restaurants near old town square. We had the cabbage soup... More

We had to queue for quite a bit to get a seat because they are apparently quite popular amongst locals! Food was decently priced for a restaurant standard, and the salads were great! The most commendable dish would be the duck breast with blueberry sauce, which stained my friend's teeth but was way worth it! Extremely delightful baked brie served... More

This restaurant just does what it says it does - Czech food in good portion sizes at a reasonable price and to an above average quality. There's heaps of choice and the goulash is the go to dish but the gnocchi we had was also very tasty. Just be ware that the grilled potato triangles are actually wedges, nothing more... More

We really enjoyed dinner here and it was very reasonably priced, too. It's a little restaurant, rustic, atmospheric and friendly, tucked away in a tiny road near the Astronomical Clock. We ordered beer cheese with a sort of fried bread, followed by their legendary goulash in a loaf of bread. Absolutely delicious and very filling, especially when washed down with... More

If you're looking for a good local place, not too touristy, with good prices and very tasty food, this is the place for you! Me and my friends tried a range of plates amongst us and the comments all round the table were very impressive. Dishes we tried were: goulash, pork knee, entrecote, potato chips, apple strudel amongst other things... More

This restaurant close to Staromestke namesti offers in My meaning the best Goulash in bread in Prague. The goulash is autentic and taste like real Czech Goulash. To the Goulash you drink a nice Plzen.

Good food in bar-like establishment very close to the central square in old town... it's tucked away and kind of hard to find, but worth the search

I was recommended to this restaurant by a friend, and what a fantastic recommendation! As per all the other reviews about the goulash in the bread bowl - it really was fantastic. Very rich with lots of beef chunks. My boyfriend had the pork and vegetable skewer which he thoroughly enjoyed. It was very busy for a Monday night, if... More

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighborhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
