Very very good food

I was recommended to this restaurant by a friend, and what a fantastic recommendation! As per all the other reviews about the goulash in the bread bowl - it really was fantastic. Very rich with lots of beef chunks. My boyfriend had the pork and vegetable skewer which he thoroughly enjoyed. It was... read more

After Googling for good Restaurants in Prague (particularly Goulash), we stumbled across this Restaurant, only to discover it was virtually opposite our apartment. Taking the advice of many reviewers we popped in during the afternoon and booked ourselves in for that evening. The waiters were friendly and polite (and spoke English). We ordered a few starters to share (though I... More

We found out about this little gem by a little research before our visit to Prague and we are so glad that we found it. Set in a little cobbled street not far from the Astronomical Clock, it really was a superb restaurant. The staff there were very friendly and the food, beer and wine were all top notch and... More

We received a recommendation for this place from a relative who visited in 2014. We ate at this place on two separate occuasions during out six day stay. The food was authentic, the helpings were comfortable, there was a selection and the beer and hot wine were excellent. For a casual and comfortable dinner we definitely recommend Miejnice.

We ended up eating in the sister restaurant at Zatecka (a 5/10 min walk away) so I did not want to give a negative rating, however I felt like I should make people aware of the issue we experienced. We reserved a table online before travelling to Prague and had received a confirmation email back from them. However on arriving... More

Came here during a four day visit to Prague. The food was delicious, I particularly liked the cabbage pancakes. Between us we had goulash served in a large hollowed bread, some form of sausage and various ear dishes. There was sufficient choice for me as a vegi the gnocchi in blue cheese was delicious but very filling. All told there... More

I've had beef goulash three times in the past 48 hours and this was hands down the tastiest and cheapest. Was too full to try anything else but it all looked amazing. My only regret is that my husband and I did not discover this charming restaurant earlier. It's in a fantastic location and was busy while we were there.... More

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighborhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
