I came to this restaurant based on other reviews on tripadvisor. While the reviews have been pretty much accurate, one thing I did not expect was the restaurant was HOT. Weather was fairly warm and humid outside, but the breezes made it somewhat tolerable when you're out and about. Inside this restaurant however, there were no fans, no air conditioning...... More

Tom and I had such a wonderful experience here - it was the best food we had in Prague. I had the goulash served in a roll and Toms pork was tender and served with crispy potato croquettes. The staff were great and the location is lovely - it's hidden in an alleyway away from the mainstream tourist track.

I went to this restaurant because it came up in some google searches for good goulash in Prague. As I entered I remembered I actually already ate there several years ago. The goulash was indeed excellent, served in a loaf of bread. Personally couldn't eat much more besides that, but I did take a baked potato with sour cream. And... More

My friends an I had dinner here during a short trip in Prague. We loved both the atmosphere and food (gulash above all), but staff was really un hospital! I don't know if they treat just turists in this way but I hope that was a singular episode...

A rustic atmospheric small restaurant off a side street in Old Town, it is a very nice place for lunch. I had onion soup with cheese croutons, homemade spicy pickled sausage and beef steak with bacon strips stuffed with onion and garlic – which were all very tasty. Dana had the salad with blue cheese, bacon, pear, raisins, walnuts and... More

We went there after reading few reviews and I would definitely recommend it. Food was great, atmosphere was great. That's where we had our best meal in Prague. When reading review about staff being "not very friendly" don't mind them. You have to keep in mind that's the way Eastern Europe people are. They are not rude at all, we... More

Had the Beef Goulash in a loaf and it was good and worth the price. Food took a while to reach the table and the place was full although it was only 1830. So do expect a queue during meal times. When we were given the bill, the waiter told us there was an optional 10% tip out of our... More

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighborhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
