Nice, quiet restraunt just a few steps from the busy old town square.

The restaurant is rustic cute, located down a side street (alley really) only steps fro noisy old town square. It's decorated with old farm implements & rustic tables & has a genuine Czech feel to it. Good Czech food & beer, good prices. It's very popular so go early or get a reservation..

Especially found this place and came in here for lunch based on good tripadvisor reviews. Greeted by a sour faced male waiter and shown or seats. After five minutes of looking at the menu, decided what we wanted and signalled to the waiter that we are ready. Was ignored. Signalled to another female waiter, was also ignored. Signalled again, she walked... More

Stopped in for appetizers and drinks after touring Prague Castle. Nice selection. Marinated camembert was good with a glass of lambrusco.

Six of us went to dinner here. The food smells so good and tastes better. I had the pork knee and could not eat it all. Rustic atmosphere with good service.

We ventured out to find this little restaurant that is tucked away off of a main street. And when we arrived they had a couple of tables left and when we were ready to leave they were full. And we believe that it was filled with locals. A good sign! The restaurant is quaint and lovely at the same time... More

I ordered a goulash and it's served with a huge bun. It's really special for me. The goulash itself was really delicious and the meat was very tender. Some comments mentioned that the service is not good here, but for me everything was okay. The staff were friendly and can speak English.

Two steps away from the Old Town Square this restaurant serves the Czech food and beer. The menu is rather limited, amazingly it's also true for the beer menu though Prague is one of the world beer centers. The food is very good and the portions are really copious. The service is fast but the waiters and waitresses could try to smile now and... We were recommended by a local friend to try this place out and the food did not disappoint. We had the soup to start but the stand out was the ribs. The ribs were really succulent and juicy and generous order to be enough to feed the 2 of us with a side of veggies.

We had a wonderful dinner at Mlejnice. It is a small, quaint medieval-looking inn, tucked away on a hard-to-find side street just off Old Town Square. The English menu is perhaps more literal than descriptive. I had

I felt I was treated with racism, the staff were extremely rude to Asian. Food tasted not so bad but not recommend as well.

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighborhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
