traditional restaurant in historical centre of Cesky Krumlov

It is really interesting to stop in traditional restaurant such as this one. As a local personm working in travel industry for 20 years, I have visit number of untouristic restarants and local pubs. It is nice place to stop and probably stay too. I meet nice group of older musicians inside and one... read more

Came here to get away from the restaurants in the main square. Service was terrible. It was as though every customer was just a hassle. They'd rather be standing around not making money? This is a very touristy area. Food was ok. Nothing amazing. I'd probably rate the food better if the service was better, but it just ruined it... More

It was recommended by our hotel to go here for traditional Czech food. We sat outside and were promptly given menus that were dirty with torn pieces of paper covering items they did not have. Our waitress was sitting outside talking with her friends and waited on us in between socializing. I had the trout and boyfriend had pork. Both... More

This restaurant was recommended to us by a local, and provided authentic local cuisine at good prices. We wee keen to sample again the fruit dumplings (Ovocné kynuté knedlíky) but Na louzi's version was inferior to what we had elsewhere in Cesky Krumlov. The overall dining experience however was just average. Similar to other reviews, our meals were rushed. We... More

Our hotel and guide book recommended this restaurant. Small and cozy, it is by no means fancy. But fancy is not what we were looking for -- just good food and service. We got one, but not the other. When we entered at 6:20, we took the last available table. No sooner had we sat down, but the waiter was... More

This was the worst restaurant experience we've had in the country. The interior of the place suggested it was a time-honoured eatery. The location is conveniently a couple minutes' walk away from the old town square. The food, however, is a failure. The cabbage soup was edible, though a bit sour. The halušky with sauerkraut were a definitely too sour... More

Our hostel suggested a few days ago we eat at Restaurant Na Louzi for its authentic Cze. Thisch food. We in no way can be considered 'foodies' so wouldn't know if what we had was authentic Czech or not but we both enjoyed our meals: I ordered the chicken and mushroom dish and it came with positively huge, fresh mushrooms... We returned for several meals - one lunch and one dinner. A tiny restaurant, almost always full, especially with locals. Outstanding meals at a very modest price. Best pork schnitzel we had in the Czech Republic, where it is always good. Well worth a visit when in Cesky Krumlov. Peter and Gaye, Victoria, B.C., Canada

We sat down at Na louzi for lunch. We ordered fried cheese and goulash with knödel, both Czech specialities. First the beer arrived in a dirty glass carring lipstick from an earlier guest. Ok, this can happen in any Czech pub. But what was a bigger disapointment was the food. The gulash sauce was made the way a drtkova soup... More

If you want to try authentic Czech food in a no frills establishment this is the place for you. This restaurant is on the main floor of a hotel with the same name. We tried the schnitzel stye mushrooms that were freshly picked, pork knuckle with sauerkraut and potato dumplings and pork medallions with creamed spinach and bread dumplings. We... More
