I had a feast and the server was happy to prepare me combination of fish, chicken and ham. I really liked it as it was unusual and tasty. Large portions. I tried the mead as well. The waitress was helpful and unobtrusive, did not angle for tip. Free tap water. Lovely view and a history lesson as well!

we chose this small restaurant because of it's proximity to the river. The food was rustic Czech and really reasonable in price (cash only) The experience would have been a more enjoyable one, if the waitresses were welcoming and friendly. They are rude and like to ignore their customers unless they speak Czech You got the feeling that tourists are... More

My husband and I decided to have lunch here on our day trip to Cesky Krumlov. I'd already read reviews about it here and I'm glad we decided to go to this place. What really strikes you first is the beautiful setting. It's by the river and the view is stunning. It was such a beautiful setting for a meal.... More

We always look to enjoy non-American food while abroad. And,you can only put away so much sausage and cabbage. We often take photos of some of the most picturesque dishes we are served. I have to apologize for this photo of the Old Bohemian feast because we tied into it before I remembered to take a picture! In addition to... More

We ate here after reading reviews on Tripadvisor; however, we were disappointed. I would say the food was below average. We did not order the feasts which seems like what they are known for. The staff were rude and unprofessional and did not seem to be enjoying their jobs. The bathroom was filled with cobwebs and in general felt unclean.

Sept 24 Our group was booked with another restaurant in Cesky Krumlov--one I chose through TA. Our guide Karolina Kortusova mentioned to me that she knew of another resto that catered less to tourists and did not overcharge. I told her that location was important; she said it is closeby and aside the river with a view. The resto did... More

We really enjoyed this restaurant. The menu was more grain focused and less gravy/dumplings focused. Theres a vegetarian platter that is filling, tasty and full of whole grains. The meat options are diverse and they have both heavy meals and lighter options. Try the gruel if you like oatmeal...its buckwheat, fruit and cinnamon...delish!

My husband and I had dinner at this restaurant in September. We sat on the patio by the river, and very much enjoyed the setting. We had two waitresses help us throughout our meal. I wouldn't describe either of the waitresses as being warm and welcoming, but one of the women did give a faint smile on two occasions. It... More

Really wonderful food and mid evil atmosphere. The service is excellent and extremely attentive. They have quite a few vegetarian options as well. Try the dark eggenberg beer and the Veggie pie! Just a note: I believe they had some indoor seating upstairs and lots outside (some with patio heaters).

We traveled with another couple and enjoyed eating at this very old, charming restaurant right on the river. We shared the Bohemian feast which is well worth the visit!
