We live on Crete part of the year, and Katerina's is definitely on our list of top restaurants. There's a small group of restaurants on the island that really try to do cook something slightly different to the regular taverna menu, and Katerina's is one of the best. Lamb kleftiko was the best I've tasted. Organic wine was excellent. Service... More

We've spent a week in Mirtos and try some restaurants there. But, Katerina was the best. Very fine food, cooking with fresh and local products (harvest the very same day by the chef Yiannis, and you if you want). Here, you will eat only the most traditional and local dishes made with lamb, veal, rabbit,... flavored with fine herbs from... More

The staff are experienced, pleasant and knowledgeable. The food was outstanding cooked by a clearly passionate chief. We wanted to attend one of the food tours, however we had... More

We stay in Mirtos for a night at Hotel Paradise, met a wonderful manager Yiannis who suggest restaurant Katarina for the dinner. And we got surprised! The dishes with lamb tasted inexpressible good, the service follows up and the Greek kitchen gave us a new and better experience. Thanks! If poosible, we return for more nights. Greetings from us.

We had a great time in Mirtos - thanks also to Yiannis, his friendly and open-minded wife and his funny waiter! We were eating in the restaurant "Katerina" more than once and also did a cooking workshop with Yiannis. The food was delicious and the cook takes the time to talk to every guest. He's Greek, but lived in Finland... More

Lovely little restaurant in an alley just off the road down to the waterfront. Varied menu with a few specials cooked to order. The saganaki cheese flambéed in ouzo is just fabulous!
