A delightful tearoom set in the picturesque village of Heydon, one of only 12 privately owned villages remaining in the country. This is a traditional tea room that also serves "modern" food. Choices range from sandwiches and jacket potato through to (on the day we were there) Beetroot  and Onion Soup, Smoked Mackerel Pate and Toast, and Pea and Goats Cheese... More

Some 15 miles from Norwich, off the Holt Road, is a very special place to us. From the 81 previous reviews, sadly the secret is out - which makes it difficult for my wife and I who visit regularly for tea - or whatever..... to get a table - unless we book.. !! Why do we make the journey at... More

This is a business you couldn't put more heart into. Cindy and Karl run it with pride and passion. The food is faultless and always an interesting variety on offer. The cakes obviously homemade and done with such care. As well as a great place to visit for lunch and cake, Heydon Village Tea Shop has provided us with bespoke... More

We visited this tea room yesterday having read positive reviews on here and having visited Heydon previously. The tea room is in a really pretty setting in a quiet, picturesque village. It is cosy and characterful inside with an interesting selection of pieces on display. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and the service was prompt. There was a... More

We popped into the Tearoom for a cuppa and treated ourselves to home made scones which were so delicious we returned later for lunch! Very friendly service and the freshly made home cooked food was delicious. The village is a delight!

Unbeatable afternoon tea in glorious surroundings! Visited with a group of friends and enjoyed the best afternoon tea I have ever had (and have had a few!) The attention to detail with both the look and taste of the lovely cakes was amazing. Excellent, friendly service - will definitely be back!

Cindy and Jamie are always most welcoming, there food, and cakes are superb coupled with excellent customer service always attentive to one's needs. As a frequent visitor I cannot recommend the tea rooms more highly.

Quite simply the best afternoon tea I've ever had. Yes the scones we're beautifully baked, as were the varied assortment of cakes and delicate scrumptious sandwiches, but it was the warm friendly service and overall atmosphere that made my birthday afternoon tea extra special. Heydon Village Tea Shop - what a gem!
