Visited here several times, a must visit to this traditional old style tea shop, it's like England used to be back in the good old days, it's run by a great couple Cindy who is a well traveled published cookery book author and Karl who was a top restaurant manager, what a great combination, excellent home made food with top... It's an absolute treat to eat here. Excellent choice of food from a Scone or Sandwich through to the daily specials, and of course a wide variety of the most heavenly home made cakes, which cater for all tastes. We had Potted Stilton accompanied by Husk Bakery Rye Bread and salad. The Potted Stilton was smooth and  creamy, not overpowered... More

The setting for the shop is ideal for this wonderfully presented tea room. We had tea and cake and shared 3 pieces between the pair of us, all were lovely and in generous portions. Would like to have tried something savory as this all looked nice on other people's plates!

We visited on 4th June for lunch & it was truly a delight. The decor is really authentic of stepping back in time.Fresh flowers on all tables & the food & presentation could not have been better. My husband had ploughmans with a "proper pork pie" really meaty & none of that horrid jelly. Also managed to have a slice... More

Just visited for the second time and it didn't disappoint. Myself and my husband visited for lunch. The sandwiches and ploughmans were tasty and good portions. We followed this with some homemade cake which was also delicious. Hayden is a beautiful little village. If you took away the cars you would think you have stepped back in time. The team... More

A delightful tearoom set in the picturesque village of Heydon, one of only 12 privately owned villages remaining in the country. This is a traditional tea room that also serves "modern" food. Choices range from sandwiches and jacket potato through to (on the day we were there) Beetroot  and Onion Soup, Smoked Mackerel Pate and Toast, and Pea and Goats Cheese... More

Some 15 miles from Norwich, off the Holt Road, is a very special place to us. From the 81 previous reviews, sadly the secret is out - which makes it difficult for my wife and I who visit regularly for tea - or whatever..... to get a table - unless we book.. !! Why do we make the journey at... More

This is a business you couldn't put more heart into. Cindy and Karl run it with pride and passion. The food is faultless and always an interesting variety on offer. The cakes obviously homemade and done with such care. As well as a great place to visit for lunch and cake, Heydon Village Tea Shop has provided us with bespoke... More

We visited this tea room yesterday having read positive reviews on here and having visited Heydon previously. The tea room is in a really pretty setting in a quiet, picturesque village. It is cosy and characterful inside with an interesting selection of pieces on display. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and the service was prompt. There was a... More
