Have just returned from having afternoon tea with my parents at the Heydon Tea Rooms, it was a birthday treat for my Mum. This place is a little off the beaten track but well worth the visit. The village itself is small, unspoilt and picture post card perfect. There is no road running through the village, the road that leads... More

What a fantastic 60th birthday treat it was last weekend. Hadn't been since it changed ownership. Booked a table for 6 of us for lunch. Proper china crockery, delicious homecooked food (the smells were wonderful coming from the kitchen) friendly, professional service, not rushed to finish our food all made the experience so enjoyable. My crab & leek quiche had... More

What a great place to go for lunch, or afternoon tea ,The village is unspoilt has one road in and out, the tea rooms situated opposite the village green are run by Jamie and Cindy who are friendly and have a wide range of local food for lunches, and the cream teas are to die for . There is always... More

Heydon Village is probably the only privately owned village in the country. It is picture postcard perfect: the village green surrounded on two sides by rambling rose covered cottages, on the third side by the medieval church (well worth a visit) and the fourth side by the pub, the bakery and the Village Tea Shop. This is the definitive tea... More

Step into the historic village of Heydon in North Norfolk and you are transported back in time to an altogether more genteel age. No traffic, no noise, no plastic doors or windows. Sublime. On the edge of the In the village green is the Heydon village tea shop which serves wonderful light lunches, afternoon teas and scrummy cakes. We sat... More

This little gem really is perfection. We visited today after reading a review and then clicking through to the website. The website is very vintage styled and the tea room itself is too. The staff are so accommodating, friendly and welcoming, nothing is too much trouble. We booked ahead which was well worth it as it was quite busy. The... More
