Always wanted to visit these tea rooms and was not disappointed. The village is small but perfectly formed. Had a tasty light lunch of sandwiches and scones with a good pot of tea. A long wait but we were in no rush. Like stepping back in time. Was expecting to see miss marple walking down the street. We have already... More

The picture perfect village of Heydon has the best tea shop in Norfolk. We visited with our Anglo American granddaughter and she was as taken with the Norfolk cream teas as we always are. And extra hot water for the pot so that you get two to three cups per person. Still excellent in every way.

Last week my partner and I revisited this delightful tea shop and found it to be as wonderful as ever. Set in a quintessential English village, on a road that leads to nowhere, it is a place that anyone who loves a good strong cup of Yorkshire Tea coupled with a delightful selection of cakes should visit. I first stumbled... More

This teashop is in a delightful little village with lovely food. Great atmosphere and friendly staff. The owners very kindly stayed open for us as we arrived just as they were closing and were in need of afternoon tea after a long days driving. The pecan brownies and shortbread were delicious as were the scones with jam and cream. Lovely... More

Quintessentially English, possibly unique and certainly not to be missed. We stumbled upon the tea shop whilst on a rural drive about. Late for lunch we were unsure what would be on offer. We were pleasantly surprised to find a full menu and specials available. We had bacon and onion baked potatoes which were the best baked spuds which we... More

Superbly located in the middle of a sleepy North Norfolk village, the Heydon tearooms are quintessentially English. On a sunny day, sit outside and enjoy a lunch special or afternoon tea and watch the house martins come and go from the nests above your head. It's an idyllic spot. We keep going back and the standards never slip. Long may... More

Just returned from our holiday and found this lovely tea room. It was delightful with great food and child friendly. A real highlight of our trip to Norfolk.

probably better for tea and cake than lunch as £10.95 for a shop bought (if very good) pork pie and salad is pushing it! (& the pickle didn't seem home made...) but oh such a pretty spot and excellent service
