It's been a while since we were last here, shortly after the new owners took over I believe. The beers are still kept up to snuff, as was shown by the two different pints I had. The wife was a little upset that Fosters was no longer available, but soon settled in with her Stella Shandy as an alternative. Food... More

Having searched for somewhere we hadn't visited before we settled on The Bowl Inn, which had a good looking menu and there was also a selection of real ales - and previous reviews had been good. The food was excellent, as was the ale. Our waitress was brilliant, very funny, friendly and warm, she made our visit even more enjoyable.... More

Set in an ' area of outstanding natural beauty' this lovely country pub has an atmosphere that makes it worth our while to drive from Lenham. As mentioned it is under new management and naturally new brooms sweep clean. Changes are evident, primarily the introduction of food. The food is pub food, not haute cuisine and that's fine by me.... More

I recently approached the Bowl Inn regarding a buffet for a gathering after a funeral at Charing on 7 November 2014. As promised, the Chef very promptly e-mailed me his suggested menu which I considered to be extremely good as it was both appropriate to the time of year and imaginative. On visiting the Bowl Inn later, I was able... More

The Bowl is a great local pub. A bit out of the way - but none the worse for that. A good regular crowd in during the early evenings. Always a good atmosphere. New owners have introduced a bigger menu than previously - but the feeling of a real drinkers pub remains. We live locally and use it regularly.

Popped in to the Bowl Inn for lunch while on a walk. A nice cosy pub with good beers and a nice traditional pub fare menu. The food was very good and the staff were friendly.

We had been invited to have dinner at The Bowl Inn by friends who were staying there overnight and I had only ever been once before, but years ago, as it is just of 'the beaten track'. The service was friendly and very good with the food to match from a typical Pub menu but with a much more varied... More

Let me start by saying the Pub is wonderful. The staff are very friendly and helpful. This Pub is set a a fantastic part of Kent and dates back some 500 years. As others have stated this is under new ownership, and they have started to do food. The range of drinks is very good and my friend commented on... More

Popped in for a drink on the dreary Bank holiday Monday and was immediately impressed by the friendly atmosphere..busy, but not crowded. Locals chatting at the bar, others having a drink and people enjoying the food. So much so, we looked at the menu and decide we had to stay. 12 hour slow roasted pulled pork burgers..fantastic! Chosen with sauce... More
