A lunch with a view

Reed Restaurant in the Ferrycarrig looks out over the River Slaney and you can watch boats and wildlife while you dine. Their Sunday lunch is very nice and good value for what you get. Staff are very pleasant and attentive

Best hotel meal I've ever had! This restaurant really deserves credit...It was the best part of our hotel stay. Ate here as part of our hotel package and enjoyed the meal so much. Goats cheese and confit of duck for starters which were both beautiful and beautifully presented. These were followed by two steaks cooked to perfection with a generous... More

Staying in the ferrycarrig hotel so we decided to dine in reeds on the first night. Seated quickly in a nice corner with a great view over the lake. Very friendly staff, food was delicious and cooked as we asked. The whole experience was worth the price. Will be recommending it.

We dined in the Reed restaurant on several occasions & found the menus varied & the food is nothing short of splendid! The food is fresh, locally sourced where possible & otherwise sourced from quality Irish growers & producers.......so need I say more! All it takes then is a good chef & there's definitely no doubt about that in the... More

We stayed for a family occasion in the Ferrycarrig Hotel. A beautiful hotel. Our dinner in the Reed restaurant was superb with an amazing view as we dined. The waiters in the restaurant were so professional, attentive, and nothing was a problem for them. The staff in the Bar were excellent, proper bar staff that know their job. The reception... More

Staff and service were good. Wine list was good and reasonably priced. Starter and desert courses were good if slightly formulaic. Main course (ribeye steak) was disappointing, very sinewy. Value for money was poor considering the disappointing main. The good service gets it a three rating otherwise it would be a two.

The Dock Bar is well laid out, comfortable, looking over the estuary. Ideal for lucnh or more. The staff were very helpful and friendly, de[ite been busy with guest for a wedding. If you park in the higher car park you will be in for a climb.

I love the breakfast here. All buffet except your tea and toast. The fruit selection is fabulous and fresh. Different breads also. The hot buffet also has s great selection. You will find it hard to leave here hungry. And the views are fantastic.
