I went to reeds for a meal with a group of six others and overall we were all dissapointed. The views and the place itself are left down by the food. I had mussel starter, the portion was small, no bowl nor bread was provided for the empties or spoon for the broth or hand bowl to clean ones hands... More

We have eaten here many times over the years. The food is always of a good quality, the restaurant is clean and tidy with nice decor. However on my most recent visit the food I ordered was not at all up to standard. The food menu is in its self very modest however simple food should be prepared to the... More

Reeds restaurant is ideally located on the banks of the river Slaney. We ate from the set evening dinner menu which had a wide choice of starters, main courses and desserts. This menu costs €30 with a supplement of €6 for steak. The food was very tasty and the service was excellent. We had a leisurely dining experience which is... More

It's only fair I believe to revisit somewhere that has been given a poor review to see if anything has changed - after all we can all have a bad day.! I had lunch here. Recently with a family member & found the food very acceptable. I steered well clear of that awful open beef sandwich concoction which is still... More

Second time we have eaten here, but wont be returning again as service on both occasions was beyond slow, the food is perfectly acceptable, but you would not want to be in any rush.

Had tickets for Wexford Light Opera show at the Ferrycarrig so reserved a early pre- show dinner. Sat down at 6.20 and by 8.00 had still not had our dessert, boredom set in and patience ran out so requested Bill and left.We were informed that the dining room had to give priority to a party of 60 who had to be... The food was nice but not exceptional, not enough staff on at the time we visited and as we had a ferry to catch early in the morning the restaurant was open early but we had to wait for the food to come out

Our pasta dish had absolutely no flavor- couldn't eat it all. But the dessert, Chocolate Java Orange Cake with Grand Marnier and Orange Sauce was acceptable. Was really a tasty chocolate cheesecake with orange drizzle. Not a good deal. Highlight was a full triple rainbow across the harbor.

We both got 2 course early bird meals for 21euro while the kids got chicken and chips and we all seemed to enjoy. It was a beautiful evening and the restaurant became quite busy and certainly the service suffered. We eventually gave up waiting to order our desert. We would go back if only for the beautiful views from the... More
