We had been looking for real Andalusian food since we got to Ronda. All the restaurant seems to sell the same old rubbish to tourists - you know that because they are full of tourists tucking into so-so looking food. On a trip out of Ronda we spotted the Bondega San Fransisco and noticed it was very popular with local... More

We ate at this restaurant on a chilly, rainy Friday night. Because of the weather they weren't utilizing any outdoor tables so some of the ambiance of dining just outside the gates was lost. Be that as it may, we had excellent service with average food. We ordered the marinated tomatoes with tuna (average,) prawns (more like small shrimp and... More

This is a very characterful establishment on 2 levels, bar downstairs and restaurant upstairs. Ambience, food and service is excellent and it is superb value.

Six or seven rounds of food. Drinks for all once, a few of us twice ;-) Still under €70 with us adding over 10% tip. Great value. We were just before 1:30 - got really busy as 2:00 rolled around. Recommend.

We dropped by this relaxed place for a mid-afternoon snack. The service from a young man was very good and he was patient with our Spanglish. We ordered a range of tapas, all prepared very well. It appears to be a place where locals eat(upstairs the tables were full of locals or at least, Spaniards). Lot's of terrace space so... More

Very nice bar/ restaurant with outside seating. Good range of tapas, to enjoy with an excellent wine on offer. Very pleasant barman who spent time explaining the differences between the many hams hanging above the bar for sale. Well worth a visit.

The food was just OK. The chuletitas cordero lechal weren't very good. The bacalao al ajillo was tasty but not great. The spaghetti a la bolognesa was quite good. The place was so crowded, we decided to sit outside on a sunny but cold afternoon. The service was a bit slow, but we probably felt it so because we were... More

We sat outside at the table under the old city walls on a beautiful sunny January day. Sipping a nice cold drink we put our order in and sat back to enjoy the scene. And waited ,and waited, and waited. One of our party received their food and some people at the surrounding tables had eaten and left, but our... More

Victims of their own success really. Pork Kebabs were the best I have ever had (not kebab in the turkish sense but chargrilled on a skewer nevertheless). Not over cooked or too dry but very very tasty Iberican pork. However, the service was slow but then again it was busy. All they need to do is employ another waiter!

We used this as our 'local' during our stay in Ronda and variously had drinks, tapas, a full meal & a late coffee & conac here. It's not trying to be posh but does good, filling food & is always full of locals. Set beside a pretty plaza in a quiet residential area outside the walls, it's a world away... More
