Taste of Andalusian neighbourhood

It is a typical restaurant imbedded in the historical community of Ronda where locals dine. We had there lunch at sat at the outdoor patio and then dinner at night on the second floor dining room overlooking picturesque town square. Both times the food was full of flavour and delicious. I would... read more

Stopped for a coffee, which turned into a glass of wine and some tapas. Good atmospheric bar, and good value. So good we came back for lunch in the small upstairs restaurant. Lunch was fine, but less interesting than the tapas, and expensive in comparison to the tapas prices. Still, a good bet in Ronda, a bit away from the... More

Our bad experience started when we called to book a table for dinner. When I called, they only asked me what time and how many people, but they did not ask me my name before hanging up on me. So, we had to call again and make sure they had a name. Needless to say, when we got there, they... More

We popped in for a late lunch drink and managed to get a table outside - I think its fair to say that the place was pretty crowded (for a Monday lunchtime) and as a result, it took a fair old while to get to order our drinks - and then for the drinks to arrive (no smiles during this... More

I decided to stop-by as it was busy (generally a good sign) and in the sun on what was a windy and cool day. I was left waiting to order for 45 minutes. Food then took a further 30 minutes. The pork sirloin appeared nice and well-cooked. It was for the most part - but patches were raw (see photos)!... More

In the Barrio San Francisco away from the centre of a Ronda. Dining room on first floor. Tapas downstairs. Friendly. Good place if solo. Tapas and dishes fine. I had asparagus au gratin with a sauce and fried mushrooms. Value for money. Good beer.

We came here on recommendation of a friend from the area, and were very pleased we did. The restaurant is located about 20 minutes away from the centre of Ronda, down the hill from the old town. The restaurant is has plenty of outdoor seating, and was a great place to have lunch. They served very large Raciones, and had... More

We were recommended to try this restaurant by a friend who grew up in Ronda, and he was quite right - it is an excellent place to eat in, just a few minutes walk away from the tourist centre but a lot more 'authentic' and a lot better value for money. Soft drinks (fruit juice, coca cola) 1 eu, and... More

The Tapas were excellent and two come to mind, the Jamon Croquettes and Fried Anchovies also try there kraft beer. What I like the most about the Bodega is that you can choose your Tapas as a small dish or order a small platter that serves 3 people easily. What let the place down was the poor service and that... I would have give this place a higher rating if the service was better. We weren't served a dish of food that we ordered until we reminded them and our last round of drinks were completely forgotten. It really annoys me when this happens. Some say it's the Spanish way but don't buy it ! I think it poor service... More
