Great setting and delicious food!

We walked down to the restaurant in the blazing heat and were offered a table under the trees with a lovely breeze which was perfect. Even though we were dining alfresco the table had a crisp white tablecloth with sparkling glasses! We drank white sangria which had lots of fruit in it and was... read more

A recommendation from our host, we fell in love with the duck tapas served in the bar area. We didn't make it to the restaurant but went for tapas here twice during a four day stay in Ronda. Really friendly staff that don't speak English but try very hard to understand you - they serve such amazing bites! Great Ronda... More

We were recommended to this restaurant so we sought it out on our day trip to Ronda. It was 42 degrees on the day of our visit so even though it was warm the shade of the trees in the square provided a nice respite. Even better was the huge sangria which was deliciously cold and full of fruit. Our... More

Ronda offers some great restaurants. I can not choose THE best but Almocabar is definitely one of the best. Great food, friendly and good service, located just outside the old city wall. On a hot day the terrace is set up u der the trees on the plaza with a nice refreshing breeze... I highly recommend this restaurant.

After spending a day working our way around Ronda we decided to head down to Almocabar on a recommendation. We were given a nice shaded table on the plaza and decided on 4 of the starters to share; the cheese plate had a perfect selection with quince and a tangy marmalade to complement, the ensalada Almocabar was fantastic with a... We were 2 families with kids. We followed recommendations when we were choosing meals in most cases... and food was excellent: starters, main courses and desserts for adults and for kids

Almocabar served great food and a very good wine selection. We had octopus and fish which were both very good. Don't expect it to be cheap though.

We ate at this restaurant last night and were delighted with the quality of what we chose as our dishes. We ordered a glass of Sangria to start with, but we're disappointed with the watery, fairly tasteless version of the national drink we have so much enjoyed elsewhere in Spain. Our first course was a house salad to share! but... More

We shared the house salad for entree and is was so different from what we expected but really nice. We then shared the veal cooked on a hot plate in front of us. The meat was well seasoned and delicious. For desert we shared the hot dark chocolate with frozen white chocolate. This restaurant comes highly recommended

We had dinner here. We had a tasty seafood salad, followed by main courses. We selected rabbit and lamb shoulder from a menu which had also other meat, fish, and entrees. The lamb was literally a shoulder, with very tasty tender meat. Very limited veggies, but the meat servings were very large. No room for dessert! We ate inside as... More
