It's a restaurant, not a tapas bar... but a really good one!

I insist on the fact it's a restaurant because you tend to get used to tapas bar and tapas price. Well, it's more expensive here, really. But the food we were served was delicious and the service was great. We had a very good time and to me the price matches the quality of the service. No regret... read more

This is a great typical Andalucía restaurant in the heart of busy Ronda. The food menu is varied and the food excellent. Staff very friendly and prices are quite reasonable. Highly recommended if you are visiting Ronda.

My partner and I are fortunate to get to travel quite a bit so we use TA very regularly - it's not always accurate but the reviews of Puerta Grande were absolutely spot on!! Can't comment on other Ronda restaurants but this gets 5***** From the minute you walk in the staff are friendly - professional and very charming You... More

Very high quality food. Superior olive oil. Guaranteed perfect raw materials. Restaurant interior design may seem like a country restaurant from way back, but the kitchen is really superb. Price level still quite modest. Definately not a tourist trap!

This is a superb restaurant; located centrally in Ronda. Excellent food; Classic Andalusian style made con amore. Try their eggplant and the outstanding Ronda brandy (a bit pricy, but you're in for something special). Probably one of the best classic restaurants (this is not modern food!) in Andalucia.

After walking around beautiful Ronda for the day we chose the Puerta Grande for dinner and it was fantastic. We arrived at about 7:45pm it was a Tuesday night in late January and there was about 4 tables already taken, we didn't book but if you travel in high season or on a weekend it would probably be required. We were looking for good food and found it here. Not only was dinner amazing, but the service more than excellent too. It was a fantastic experience to remember. And the fried milk, amazing. I had it on recommendation and was very glad I tried it. Sorry I cannot say much else as this was some months ago now.

The baked goat cheese appetizer with carmelized onions was one of the best things we ate while on our trip. The sopa de calabaza was also excellent. Like most Spanish restaurants, we recommend making reservations, or you may not get a table.

We came for lunch and was pleasantly surprised with the food. So we came back for dinner as well. The food was very delicious, in particular don't miss the cod fish, stew oxtail Ronda style and the aubergine. (Avoid the paella though - just average). We also had a bottle of Ronda wine which this restaurant seem to have a... More
