Excellent value and quality; recommend the Arroz negro and also the octopus. Only quibble was our corner upstairs was rather dead at lunchtime, but it was mid December and it started to pick up when we left.

Had dinner with a large group so we didn't have much to say about what we ate. The food was OK and I might have enjoyed it more if I had ordered from the menu. The decor with historic photos etc. was interesting - the house red wine was very good. Since I didn't have to pay for the dinner... More

Atmosphere was a bit lacking upstairs, mainly tourists but service was fine and meal of high quality. Extensive menu in English, tried the duck pate in Pedro X sauce - so rich you could have had it for dessert, and big quantity so suggest you share this plate.Risotto with ham and mushroom flavour - rich and creamy but finely diced,... We went on the recommendation from our hotel. The setting is excellent - on the square in the old town. We wanted to try something different, and we saw a dish at the next table that looked great - garlic sauce over two eggs over meat and bread crumbs. It was nearly impossible to get a server, but after flagging... More

This restaurant is a real find - especially when the weather is good and it is possible to sit outside in the square and enjoy really good food in a wonderful setting. The staff were very accommodating when our party of ten descended on them in the early evening without having made a reservation. Tables were moved, chairs rearranged, drinks... More

We ate here one night and the food was lovely. This seems to be the place where lots of the locals go which is a good recommendation.

First of all, Carmen la de Ronda is located on the north side of the beautiful Plaza Duquesa de Parcent. We walked along the gorge, past the Mondragon, to get this plaza, a lovely part of Ronda. Because we did not make a reservation, we could only get a seat in the Taberna on the ground floor of the restaurant.... More

We were recommended this restaurant by our hotel so I booked a table. Good idea as it was (justifiably) full. Lovely first floor dining room with an open window looking on to the charming plaza outside and a genuinely warm welcome. We shared a tasty salad to start, followed by a perfectly cooked rabo de toro for me and a... More
